It has been a while since I have made an entry on this blog.  I decided to take a look at a story that has been around for some time and been enjoyed by many.  I hope you enjoy the blog entry and will find it thought provoking.
There has been a lot of discussion over the decades about what makes certain books, films appealing to many people and loved deeply by Geeks/Nerds.  The core of the writing and films is that the individuals or beings don't ap...

This summer Montana had wildfires and the smoke from fires in other states.  This image was taken on August 13, 2013 around sunset.  The red sky was the result of the smoke from the many fires that burned thousands of acres in the western states.

One of the superb fireworks photos from July 4th.  More will be shared very soon.  This was a capture of two bursts of fireworks (ISO 100, Bulb, 6 second exposure, Canon Rebel XS, and the lens was the "kit" 18-55mm IS II).

The second blog entry gives some thought about making Geek Lit books into movies.  Why are some elements of the books not in the films?  How do the books differ from the film versions?
Geek Lit Review will focus on the books as they were written rather than the movie versions.  In many cases the author of the book went into greater detail that took many pages of description of the environment, clothes,...

I revisited this image that I had taken two years ago and decided it was unique and needed to be made public.  It was a cold September morning and the sun was still rising in the east (the flash on the camera was not used, the lighting here is sunlight from the right off camera).

Rented a professional lens (Canon 70-200 F4 L IS USM) for eight days.  On the second day of my rental this moose was in a field right beside Montana Highway 200 a few miles from the town of Paradise.  This is one of the photos I captured that late afternoon.  Renting the lens was well worth it, though made me wish I could own the lens.
