Meat lovers the world over will naturally gravitate to Fogo de Chao! They have everything you could possibly want in one sitting. From pork loin to perfectly cooked steak, it is most assuredly worth a visit..or two..or three! After a dinner there including myself and some co-workers I was fully convinced that this was definitely the best food and service I have had in quite sometime.
When you first arrive expect to be escorted to your table and the chair pulled out for you. I know you’re probably saying “that’s standard at most restaurants” and you are right; however, at most restaurants that’s usually where it ends. At Fogo de Chao that’s just the beginning! You are waited on hand and foot and made to feel like you are the single most important customer there! Allow me to give you a run down of how it works.
After you are escorted to your table, you are given a quick orientation about the system. In short, you get a coaster card that is green on one side and red on the other. When you flip it to green be prepared to be presented with the best selection of meats you have ever seen. They are sliced right onto your plate and all you have to do is enjoy! When you have had enough or need a break just flip it to red so they will know to stop, at least temporarily.
If you want, before you take part in the meat extravaganza, you may help your self to an extensive salad bar with everything from smoked salmon to chicken salad. Since there is so much to choose from on the salad bar it can be kind of hard to pace yourself, so be sure to leave room! You should also know that you will not have the same waiter the entire time. You may see the same familiar face a few times but everyone chips in to make sure each table is completely satisfied. That took some getting used to but after a little while I adjusted, sat back, and enjoyed the service!
My coworkers and I were very pleased with the experience and actually my only complaint is that I can’t go more often. So the next time you are looking for a unique dinning experience I suggest you try Fogo de Chao!
