We learnt about Earth having a core at school but never knew it was a woman seismologist whom discovered it! Awesome! And she lived to be 104 years old.

Dear G+ friends,
I'm trekking to raise funds so that needlessly blind people get the treatment they so desperately need and I would really appreciate your monetary donation of $25 by 31st March 2015.

As part of my fundraising, I am doing the Sydney Coastrek on 6th March and will be trekking for up to 14 hours along 55km of some of the most beautiful Sydney coastline to raise funds for The Fred Hollows Foundation.

Statistically, 4 out of 5 people who are blind do not need to be.  Not all blindness is permanent. Cataract and degradation of the lens in the eye is fixable and restores sight.

Please help end avoidable blindness and donate as I do this trek to restore sight!

You can make a donation via my personal page:
http://www.coastrekfundraising.com.au/MichaelOw

Money raised will go towards supporting The Fred Hollows Foundation’s sight-restoring work to change lives.  Together, with your help, we can give the gift of sight to many people who need our help the most.

Thanks for your kind donation - it is truly appreciated.

Have a fantastic day!
Michael

Nice update on sharks... "A common mistake people make is calling these awesome creatures, ‘Great White Sharks’, it’s actually just ‘White shark’ (Carcharodon carcharias). But we still think they’re still pretty great."
We take a look at the real story behind the spate of recent shark sightings in Newcastle, Australia.

Loved it! If you're into ramen, the Special Ramen was to die for! The soup was spiced just right and the pork slices so succulent and tasty. The ramen had the perfect consistency - I guess 'al dente' and not too gummy that it sticks to your teeth. Slurp it up like the Japanese, since Japan has come to town! Price-wise, it will set you back about 50-70% more than the run-of-the-mill ramen but totally worth it.

Convenient, right next to bottle shop and near other shops. Needs more regular cleaning as it can be quite grubby and disgusting due to spit and grime.

The coffee is hot, the staff friendly and the decor is homely. They have a back room area for more private conversations when mothers don't have their kids there. I feel welcome here.
