Include Olive Oil in Your Diet to Prevent Heart Failure: Study
Drizzle it over your salad, use it as a dip for freshly-baked bread or cook with it - olive oil works like a dream every time. It's thick, consistent, silky and the core ingredient of the calorie-friendly Mediterranean diet. It's got many rivals on the market shelf but its distinct taste and string of health benefits helps it to stand out: olive oil helps lower the risk of diabetes, it helps reduce wrinkles, works against bad cholesterol and helps prevent cancer.

According to a new study published in the journal 'Circulation', oleate, the common dietary fat found in olive oil helps failing hearts use body fat as fuel. Usually, a healthy heart absorbs fat to keep pumping. But when the heart is damaged, it can no longer store and process fat which leads to lack of energy. Not only does the heart not function properly, but the toxic fat it leaves behind can clog the arteries.

Oleate (fat in the olive oil) can kick-start the genes which produce enzymes that break down fat which can then be absorbed by the heart. According to E. Douglas Lewandowski, senior study author at the University of Illinois, Chicago "This gives more proof to the idea that consuming healthy fats like oleate can have a significantly positive effect on cardiac health even after the disease has begun." He added, "These genes are often suppressed in hyper-trophic hearts. The fact that we can restore beneficial gene expression, as well as more balanced fat metabolism, plus reduce toxic fat metabolites, just by supplying hearts with oleate is a very exciting finding."

Audi to launch A3 sedan in India on August 7...
Audi India will be launching the new A3 sedan on August 7. Touted as Audi's most affordable car in the country, the A3 is expected to be priced at par with the Mercedes-Benz B-Class and BMW 1 Series.

While it may be one of the more reasonably priced Audi's in India, it doesn't compromise on standards set by the German carmaker, at least as far as the interiors are concerned. There is a lot of equipment on offer and the features don't leave you wanting for more. The new A3 also comes packed with a roomier cabin, giving its contenders some serious competition.

Audi will offer the A3 sedan in petrol and diesel engine configurations. The 180PS 1.8 TFSI engine and the 143PS diesel which have also powered the A4, come mated with automatic transmissions.

Grow bigger, stronger muscles with green tomatoes.

Natural compound from green tomatoes stimulates muscle growth, improves muscle strength and endurance and protects against muscle wasting.

All of us love to eat red tomatoes but as unlikely as it sounds, green tomatoes may hold the answer to bigger, stronger muscles.

Natural compound from green tomatoes stimulates muscle growth, improves muscle strength and endurance and protects against muscle wasting, research reveals.

A team of University of Iowa scientists has now discovered that tomatidine, a compound from green tomatoes, is even more potent for building muscle and protecting against muscle atrophy.

“Muscle atrophy causes many problems for people, their families, and the health care system in general. Exercise certainly helps, but it is not enough and not very possible for many people who are ill or injured,” said Christopher Adams, an associate professor of internal medicine and molecular physiology and biophysics.
