+Jeff Sensabaugh Does this mitigate the creepy Clown Motel a bit?
(also, bonus "git along little dogie" shot)

I don't know where this originally came from, but it has been hanging around my hard drive as a "go to my happy place" image for years.

Today, a tidbit about a meth lab found in a Walmart bathroom (http://whnt.com/2012/04/09/meth-lab-found-in-boaz-walmart-restroom/) brought it to mind. Sometimes the world is an appallingly tacky place in a way that tickles my sense of the absurd.

While I think this will go nowhere good*, I really appreciate the "done playing this game, if you don't act, we will" political statement.

*(Because the cowardly bigots to whom the statement is targeted aren't going to hear "your behavior has been unconscionable", they are going to treat it as confirmation of their belief that all black men are dangerous, lawless, and violent thugs who are deserving of being shot on sight).

He needs to go on trial or I suspect there's going to be mob rule there soon...

Florida photos. No need to look if you aren't likely to run into me while I am still in post adventure-squee mode. If you are, these might be helpful in reference to my babbling.

Returning from (brief) adventures is the comfort and contentment of sleeping in one's own bed again mitigated by "3 days was not enough for the Everglades!" angst.

Also I may have picked up a slight obsession with epiphytic bromeliads.

+Jeff Sensabaugh Bromeliads are mostly dirt-loving plants like pineapples, but do include a whole bunch of "air plants".

Why yes, I did spend yesterday catching up on Republican politics* while trying to make headway on a monumental project to organize and triage my "deal with it later" and "miscellaneous" boxes.

And as well as being more baffled than outraged (those whackos can't actually get elected nationally, can they? Oh, wait, Citizen's United.... fuck, now I am baffled and outraged), I am wondering how the various personhood amendments don't make non-abstinence natural family planning methods essentially manslaughter.

*Albiet through the eyes of Maddow, Stewart, and Colbert, so yes, there is a bias. I miss Maddow's glasses.

There will be a real post eventually. For now I leave you with this image.
(Next to an old cemetary of which there are paranormal research YouTubes of ( Tonopah Cemetery Ghost). The lady in the very clown filled office/lobby won't go back over there 'since those paranormal people pulled that thing up'. Also in said clown filled office, a bulletin board filled with autographed GOP pictures.

I'm not sure I can fall asleep now that I know such a place exists and might be waiting in my dreams. Yikes. Strange travels, indeed.

I am having a fear that the AdBlocker using kitty pictures instead of just blocking the ads is only a today thing. It totally made my morning.

Vir, the little cat that I very much adored who had lived with me briefly before he found an excellent home with +Richard Threadgill passed away this morning. Whatever respiratory ailment that he contracted during the rain-before-last came back brutally this last rain, and that conflated with what looks like kitty-diabetes took him out suddenly.

I managed to make it over to the emergency vet this morning to be with he and +Richard Threadgill just before he slipped away.

I will very much miss the dorky, uniquely reality'd (read: spethial) little beast.

"Vir, on the other hand... well, it's not so much that he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, as that he hasn't quite put together the fact that he's a spoon." ~ +Richard Threadgill

"Morris wrote a letter to House Republicans Saturday saying he had found evidence on the Internet that the scouts are a "tactical arm" of Planned Parenthood."

Also, he thinks the girl Girl Scouts promote homosexuality as well as abortions. Wait, how does that work? Homosexuals aren't usually the demographic having unwanted pregnancies.

That being said, I wonder if this crazy came out before or after he was voted into office.

Idiots like this make me want to go out and have a series of gay abortions.

Introduction

My Deus ex Machina broke... so I took it apart, intent on fixing it, but got distracted and used some of the parts in a new project.  One of these days I will get back to it, salvage what I can, replace some parts, and just deal with what isn't quite right.

In the mean time, there are hikes to be had, stompy music to be danced to, books to read, geekery to be built, friends to be cherished, and a short-ton of other silliness and seriousness to engage in.
