+Audrey Watters's Keynote at the Digital Pedagogy Lab 2015 Institute is free and open to the public. If you're in the Madison area, I hope you'll join us. It is scheduled on Monday, August 10 from 4:00 - 5:30 in the Pyle Center Alumni Lounge with a reception after (free food and a cash bar).

The keynote will also be recorded and live-streamed. Consider the live-stream "in beta." If you have difficulty accessing, we will upload her keynote in full HD soon after the Institute.

+Sean Michael Morris will introduce Audrey, and you can chat with the other institute faculty during the reception: +Adeline Koh+Bonnie Stewart, and me. If you're attending the Distance Teaching and Learning conference next week, one of my goal's with this keynote was to gather together folks in a room that might not otherwise cross paths -- a network of folks using digital tech in f2f classes and a network of folks teaching fully online. The Institute is focused specifically on Critical Digital Pedagogy -- which leaves no edtech stones unturned and considers not just the whats and hows of edtech but also the whys and whethers.

We'll be using the ‪#‎digped‬ hashtag on Twitter during the Institute.

"Imagine that no educational technologies had yet been invented — no chalkboards, no clickers, no textbooks, no Learning Management Systems, no Coursera MOOCs. If we could start from scratch, what would we build?"
