On February 2nd 2014 1 put a 1000.00 interact deposit on a blue Acura MDX 2009 2hnyd282x8h005703 at Karmann Fine Cars Inc. I insisted that they replace the front tires and include that condition in the contract. Peter, the salesperson wrote it down. After paying my deposit by debit he took the contract to be photocopied. He returned it to me with the receipt. He said the car would be ready on Monday Feb. 4th. On Monday Peter said the car wasn't ready because a sensor for the H20 was needed. He said it hadn't come in. He said it would be ready the following day. The following day (feb 5th 2014) I got a call that said the part is not in and the car would not be ready till Wednesday feb 6th 2014. That day (Wednesday feb 6th 2014) I went to pick up the car with a mechanic after I received a call that it was ready. When we got to the dealership the mechanic pointed out that the tires were not replaced and they were in need of replacement. He said they were unsafe to drive. I asked Peter why this was, he said the tires were fine. I said it was in the agreement. When I checked the contract i noticed that that part was scratched out. I didn't notice that on my first visit because I had checked the contract prior to it being copied. I didn't imagine that they would alter the contract after it was signed. They also said that there was no sensor issues with the car. Which was confusing because I was told that that was the reason the delivery of the car was being delayed. In addition I was told that they didn't have the ownership or the plates for the car. I asked if my mechanic could inspect the car. He was told okay to go the garage. when he arrived there he saw another mechanic clearing codes under the dashboard. He was asked to leave. I promptly asked for my money back because the agreement about the tires and the unethical practice of the mechanic and staff led me to believe that the car was unsafe to drive. I have 4 kids and I am looking for a safe reliable vehicle. I showed the dealer my bank draft for the balance and said I upheld my end of the contract and they failed to uphold theirs. He told me repeatedly that he would never give me my money back. I am a widow of 3 months and this was my first time purchasing a car on my own. This experience has left me shaken and has made making the process of purchasing a car difficult. Up until this moment I have yet to hear from this dealer regarding my refund.
