Came here late last night for a last minute cocktail. I was thoroughly surprised at how nice this lounge was. They have great cocktails and if your keen on it, ginormous fruit punch bowls. The vibe is great and the bartenders are really knowledgeable and helpful. The clientele is primarily tourist, but that's to be expected since it's in Union Square and by other hotels. Still a great place to stop for a drink though, if your in the area dining or shopping. The also have a menu of bar bites that I'll have to try next time.

I love the hideaway feeling of this tavern. Every time I come here, I feel like I've made a special discovery. And the cocktail menu is very inventive and fun!

I love the Burritt Room. I love that it feels like a Speak Easy and I love that it's in a hotel. One thing I don't love? Waitresses that seem like they belong in a valley girl movie, who sit down at your table next to your friends to discuss food that she keeps forgetting. Hire a different waitress, and you're solid gold, Burritt.

This place is a phoenix coming back from the ashes. They opened several years ago, they were brilliant (after one drink there I asked my husband if he'd be having a second, "I might have five!" was the reply), they pissed off their bar staff so they all left, and the place crashed and burned. Bad (I took international visitors there two summers ago and it was embarrassing). They've slowly been working back to glory and it's just about there. I adore the space. Go in to the Mystic Hotel lobby and the stairs up to the Burritt Room are over on the left. Good food too but the lounge space is so much better than the dining room.

A classy hotel bar in down-town San Francisco where you can find a wide selection of good quality bourbon. Was open on a Sunday night when most other central bars were closed!

Amazing food and ambiance - great for a nice dinner with friends or a special occasion! The fried oysters and pan-seared duck were delicious! The drinks are amazing, and the live jazz rounds up the vibe perfectly. The waiters were great at recommending cocktails based on your preferences, or custom making one to meet your tastes. There were not too many vegetarian options on the menu, but the staff were great at creating off-the-menu options for the vegetarians/vegans. All in all, a fantastic experience, will definitely be going back!

Burritt Room has a sleek and modern vibe to attract a professional happy hour crowd. The handful of times I have been here, the service has been prompt and attentive, drinks are solid, and food is quite delicious. Never had an off moment, ever. I also enjoy watching the handsome men and gorgeous women mingling. Good eye candy too. Once I was here for Wednesday evening dinner, and there was a pleasant live band in the bar area. My friends and I were still able to carry on conversations in the dining area. But the noise level is probably too loud in the bar area to talk shop. Rather I always think of the Burritt Room as a place to unwind after a long day. The place is solid, and I hope it retains its popularity, which seems to be fleeting in 5-year cycles with many SF restaurants and bars.

My friends and I start many of our nights here. The Burritt Room is located on the second floor of a boutique hotel. The atmosphere, clientele and decor can't be beat. If your looking for a place with cheap drinks don't come here. Come here if you want to get a high quality cocktail from professional bartenders. I've been here about 20 times and the experience has always been a positive one.
