I thought the chicken with figs and sun-dried tomatoes tasted pretty bad honestly. The butter that comes with the bread they offer is more like a frozen cream spread with no flavor to add to the bread what so ever. And it wasn't the best bread either, a hard crust roll that seemed heated compared to a savory fresh cooked soft roll or unique Australian bread at outback. The flat iron steak was average if not a bit over peppery but nothing that set it apart from other steak houses and not worth its price tag. I honestly prefer cheaper steak houses like outback or long horn or Texas road househouse, flat iron on carnival cruise, compared to it. The Cesar salad was overly bitter and more salad rind then salad. And the desert was the worst part of the food. The chocolate cake was nothing note worthy but not bad. But the raspberry and vanilla creme suace was pettiful. The suace tasted like half and half that had been thickened with starch. It had no vanilla extract flavor or sweetness to it just bland creme with raw raspberries not worthy of being called a desert or being served. The place it's self has no booths and decor doesn't look all that elegent, there is nothing inspired in its design and nothing worth mentioning to other people. The service was underwhelming. There we're no smiles. It was just this feeling of we're their guest to be seated fed and dismissed. No warm feeling or cheerful attitude. The wait time between courses felt like forever. Even more so because they had no Music! Just defening silence with only a few tables occupied making talking to fill the silence awkward since you have the feeling everyone can hear everyone with no ambience of music to fill the air. The only positive feedback I feel I can give is the lentil soup, which is what they said it was. It should have been called split pea soup because that is what it really was I guess it had lentils in it though. Anyway it was the best split pea soup I've had. And while we didn't have food left like I normally would. We ate enough to feel full. But considering this place has plates for $39 a plate or more. I could not be more unimpressed and annoyed towards the experience of not liking almost 8 courses since me and my spouse sampled each others plates. And sitting in silence with most of our conversation being about how each of us were unhappy with our plates and waiting for the next one and the unpersonal feeling we got from the staff. I would recommend most anywhere before I'd recommend this.

Thank you for the very detailed response. We're disappointed you found your most recent visit less than ideal. We have two passions: exceptional cuisine and pristine customer service. That said, we're sorry our ambiance and menu options weren't what you were looking for, and that you felt the waitstaff could have been more enthusiastic. My Fiance and I got a coupon to this place. Was hoping for a quiet classic environment but the first thing we saw when we walked in was a bar with tvs on the bar. We were seated at a small table decor was ok. Our waiter wasn't great he seemed like he didn't want to be there. At one point he asked what we thought about the food and I was saying how much I loved the stuffed mushrooms and mid sentenced he walked away. He didn't come back though he was still there just standing around supervising the guests. We had to ask a waiter walking by our table to get our check. I really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and the soup. We weren't impressed with the Entrees. I got the chicked stuffed with figs ( way too sweet for me) and my fiance got the Rib-eye. That steak was cooked great but came in a sauce he wasn't crazy about. the service dragged the rating down but the food was above average.

I went in to dinner this past Saturday with 3 of my dearest friends. We were graciously greeted by Joseph and seated in the bar. Our waitress, Catherine, was the most friendly, attentive, and outgoing person that has ever served us. We began our meal by having the Calamari and Cesar Salads. The calamari was cooked to perfection and the salad dressing was worth the trip alone. We then were able to have Joseph prepare 4 Pepper Steaks table side for us. Everything was made to perfection and the meat was heavenly. For our dessert we all shared a crème brulee, a slice of chocolate cake, a key lime dessert, and a slice of carrot cake. The desserts were outstandingly delicious and to this day I still dream of them, Overall, Joseph's is wonderful, beautiful, and definitely the place to go if you're looking for a great meal AND great service.

Let me preface this first by saying we have ALWAYS had great food and service on past visits here. Not sure if this was a one off or because this time we had a Living Social coupon (paid $49 for $99) dollars worth of food). As required, we notified the restaurant upon being seated that we had the coupon. From then on things seemed just a little different. First we were given a "coupon" menu, but the waiter did add we could also order from the regular menu and our $49 coupon payment could be credited toward the final bill, which while a nice no different then coming in without one, plus it removed the bottle of House wine included? Duuuh So Apps were great: jalapeno, artichoke mushrooms and potato soup great. Nice fresh bread also. Meals were salmon and beef short ribs. Salmon filet was overcooked and dry, beef was tough.....but more so the meals were luke warm at best. Was temped to say something, but after waiting over an hour for our meal....we didn't want to wait further. Deserts were good. Though "oh well" we only paid $49 for 2 apps, 2 meals, 2 deserts and bottle of house wine.....BUT that's NOT the point. Josephs decided to create the deal to either promote itself, pull in new customers or reward customers. We used our close to the end of the promotional period 11 July, exp 15 July so maybe it was near the end, entrees not readily prepped as earlier in the deal....but still...really out of the norm. We love their calamari, Chicken Pietro and will continue to frequent Joseph's in hopes it was just a one off hiccup. Oh well.

Simply amazing. Just go, forget the bad reviews just try it and try it for yourself. My wife and I were taken care of with excellent service. Would go back anytime.

An amazing place, my wife and I walked in not knowing what we were getting in to. The Calamari was good not the best we had had but still good, my wifes seafood dish was amazing everything was cooked perfectly. My lamb chops were the best i had ever had. High price aside hands down best dining experience ever.

We had dinner New Year's Eve. My salad came and was not as described in the menu. I don't care for cucumbers and my first bite was a cucumber (not described in the list of ingredients). Yuck. My duck came and each piece had flabby, slimy fat. It couldn't be chewed. I had to take it out of my mouth and cut the fat off each piece. Not much meat to eat after that! Duck should have the fat seared! The sauce was good, but sweet. When we made reservations there was not a mention of a special menu for the evening. Much reduced in choices. My friends ordered steak that was just ok. No sauce was offered and when requested all they could bring was a bar bq sauce. My husband liked his halibut. Very expensive, not what expected. I liked the older facility better, too. The new location was cold feeling and not cozy like the other one. OH, and the music was Christmas. By New Year's I really am tired of Christmas music and would have enjoyed something more appropriately festive. We've been to Joseph's several times, but now probably off our list. Shame.
