This is the first Yelp review or online review I have ever written. Do not go to this doctor nor to this center for care. The staff at the office is extremely friendly and caring and knowledgeable, so this is a classic case of poor management. I am writing this about my mother's care but not on her behalf. I had accompanied my her to visits at this office several times, for Dr. Gulati and for Dr. Kakai, who I review below the review for Gulati. The reviews are based on what I witnessed during these visits, what i observed about my mother, and what I learned from her directly. My mother, who suffers from Lupus and Hashimoto's disease has been treated by Doctor Gulati for the past year, and also by another doctor in the clinic, Dr. Gulati showed serious negligence in the care of her patient. Here are some of the ways: She does not answer calls from her patient nor from her patient's dermatologist at Mt. Sinai many many times, which was about her patient's continuous hair loss, which was caused by Dr. Gulati's medical plan. Multiple times, under G's care, lab results and prescriptions were completely incorrect, whether it was because of her staff or the particular pharmacy with whom she partners. If you call her and she calls you back, she will only speak to you via phone to tell you to schedule another appointment, which is another $~300 During the course of her care with G, my mother suffered scenarios where she had no energy, lost her hair, and cried from anguish. She feels that she has wasted her money, health, and grief on these people. Dr. Kakai, who managed a surgical procedure in the clinic in which patient was not given anesthetics, and was screaming in pain, to the point that the staff had to yell at the surgeon to stop what he was doing. On top of this, Dr. Kakai's surgeon also botched closing up my mother, and she now has a deformed stomach area. When my mother wanted to see a different doctor, she had asked this office to send an explanation of the type of procedure (stem cell-related) that Dr. Kakai's office did for her, they sent something completely generic, from which the new doctor did not even know what exactly what was done. Yet another form of negligence.

I received the worst possible care at this medical center. When I questioned Dr. Gulati about the pain level involved in an endometrial biopsy, her response was "oh you'll hardly feel it..it will feel like a feather." Naturally I assumed I would be given a local. Not So! Dr. Harris informed me I would not need one and it ended up being the most brutal attack on my body and psyche. I warn all to stay away from this outfit.

I've had nothing but good experiences here. I ended up here for two different conditions after seeing several regular doctors who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me. I got wildly differing diagnoses for one of the conditions, but one of the M.D's at Patients Medical gave me what turned out to be the correct diagnosis (zinc deficiency). The other time it turned out to be a stress-related condition that regular doctors couldn't diagnose, but the staff at Patients Medical (an M.D., kinesiologist, and cranio-sacral therapist) were able to effectively treat. I trust this place more than a regular doctor's office because the doctors here have not only gone to the same medical schools, but they've gone beyond that training to seek out the underlying causes of conditions. I feel more comfortable with them, because they have additional knowledge about nutrition, emotions etc. that can contribute to health problems. Personally, I don't like to take prescription medications except as a last resort - I feel they just mask the symptoms and frankly, if a dietary change can restore my health, then I'd rather do that than ingest harmful drugs that have side effects. I'm surprised by the bad reviews on here - the place is definitely not a scam, I mean, you're still seeing regular medical doctors, they just have additional training in holistic methods. I would recommend this place to anyone who has a condition that perplexes their doctors or if you've been recommended a treatment that doesn't ring true for you. At the end of the day, I believe we are each our own best healers and only we can know what's best for us, so I think it's good sometimes to get a few different medical opinions, and choose the option that sounds best to us.

I went to Dr. Keswani because I was looking for a doctor who specialized in integrative medicine. At first I was impressed by the way that she said hello to everyone in the office and clearly had a caring demeanor. Unfortunately my experience with Dr. Keswani and Patients Medical has been beyond disappointing since that first meeting. The doctor will not provide lab reports without coming in for a $600 consultation. There is no communication between Patients Medical and my insurance company to take care of pending lab costs. No one ever returns phone calls or does what they say they are going to do. I cannot possibly put into words the hassle and frustration that this one doctor visit has cost me and I feel it important to warn others about the potential side effects of going to this Dr. and this medical group. Overall, the best words to describe Dr. Keswani and Patients Medical are: Frustrating, Insincere, Expensive far beyond its value

I've always had a very positive experience every time I've seen Dr. Gulati at Patients Medical. I have been a patient for over 5 years. After completing cancer treatment, I really didn't know what I should do. I had surgery, I had chemo, I had radiation and then I didn't know how to stay healthy. I saw Dr. Gulati and was put on a regimen of specific hormones and supplements, which are determined after blood work and test resuts. With her guidance and recommendations she has restored my vitality and youth. And, I am full of energy. My sister is also a patient of Dr. Gulati and her life has also been uplifted. She has shed over 40 lbs. and has a greater joy and spirit. You really can't put a price and what can be achieved at this facility. From my observation, Patients Medical lets each patient (who is willing to follow specific guidelines) become what he or she is capable of becoming. Also, their lab workers (especially Nabine) are friendly and very supportive. The entire staff from the receptionist to admin are wonderful. The only criticism I might have is that sometimes the phone system isn't working well.

THIS IS A SCAM! They lie to you and say they accept your insurance. They push unnecessary expensive supplements on you. They withhold prescription refills unless you come in for "check ups" that are a complete waste of time. DO NOT GO HERE!

Patients Medical is a scam! I just had the worst doctor’s visit at Patients Medical in New York. First of all, they lied to get me in; then the consultation with doctor was less than 20 minutes (supposed to be 1 hour), during that consultation, the doctor answered 3 phone calls, talked with 2 other staff members, rest of the time was selling me drugs and tests I don’t need. I got NOTHING out of this visit, but had to pay $400, plus delay of treatment, which worsens my condition. Awful. The drugs and tests are overpriced, not mentioning if it’s necessary for the patient. Please don’t waste your time and money at this place. The so called Doctors really don’t know much, nor they are interested in treat patients. They just want to sell, sell, sell. It’s hard to believe this place is a medical practice! I feel sorry for the people that go there, it’s not only the money and time they are wasting, most important is that they might miss the opportunity to get proper treatment by real doctors somewhere else.

I'm embarrassed to say this isn't the first time I feel like I've been scammed by supposed "holistic" doctors in NY. I knew immediately they were selling me supplements at much higher prices than I could have bought them elsewhere, and insisted I take blood tests for conditions I "might" have... just to rack the cost up. I saw other patients at the check-out desk freaking out when told the sum of the check they needed to write. Maybe it's because of Suzanne Somers pushing this practice on Oprah, but the office never seems to be empty. I got out just in time.
