My car buying experience was quick and easy here, I knew that I wanted a car, I understood that my salesman, Trask, wanted to do what was best for me, at the same time knowing amd respecting that his time was valuable, we reached an agreement in no time at all! 6/27/2016 Once again, the team at Ron Tonkin Mazda has been outstanding!! To begin with, I can’t give enough kudos to the sales associate Michael Kasper!! He is an all around genuine guy!! He wants nothing but the best for you & he will take as much time as you need with no pressure! He has not only sold us 1 car but as of this past weekend purchase(s), it will be our 6th car from him. Yes, we had 2 purchases this past weekend from him. We were there to buy our son a car but as we were looking, a car caught my husbands eye. So, long story short we purchased 2 new cars. The paperwork signing went quickly & smoothly thanks to the Finance Specialist Ray Ramirez. He made it clear on what we were signing & had us in/out in no time! Great Team Work! And that is why we will continue to do business Ron Tonkin Mazda!! ======================================================== 9/24/2015 Once again I'm giving big KUDOS to Certified Sales Associate Michael Kasper for going over & beyond! I made a call to him with some general car questions & had no idea that I would be coming in the next day to trade in my car & leave with a 2016 Mazda 6. He got me into a brand new car with no $$ down and a lower monthly payment. Michael got most of the information over the phone which made my wait time very minimal once I got there. The whole process went quick & smooth due to Michael and the Teams attention to detail. Thank you again for the outstanding customer service which is what makes me a returning customer!! ============================ 3/2015 I know we all have had horrible experiences searching for cars at one time or another but I wanted to give a Shout Out to Ron Tonkin Mazda! I have always had the best car buying experience at Ron Tonkin Mazda in Portland! The Certified Sales Associate Michael Kasper is awesome! I have not only bought 1 car but I have bought 3 cars from him in the past 1.5 years for other family members! He is truly a very genuine guy that wants the best deal for you and will take the time with you to get it. I actually went in with my 2014 Mazda 3 to get an oil change and ended up trading it in that day and leaving with a 2015 Mazda 6. I was there no more than 2.5 hours with papers signed, no money down, a shiny car, full tank of gas & a smile on my face! Thanks for you outstanding service!

From start (Kareem Rahima) to finish (Brandon Davey) and all the in-between (Michael Kasper), my experience at Ron Tonkin Portland Mazda was a pleasure. Kareem's easy-going, no-pressure approach to showing cars--as well as his helpfulness in watching for one that would suit my needs best--is ultimately what brought me back after several weeks of searching. Michael's calm, straight-forward approach in orchestrating the deal put me at ease and gave me confidence that I would be leaving without regret (also, he was a trooper, braving the record heat to pick up my trade-in so I wouldn't have to deliver it, myself). Brandon's easy laugh and fluid processing of the details gave me the sense that I was finalizing a transaction with a buddy more concerned with my comfort and happiness than with bleeding me dry. I'm pleased to say, buying a car was not the nightmare I feared it would be.

I had such a great experience at this Mazda lot! Michael Kasper was such a fantastic salesperson to work with...quiet, polite, respectful, very unlike a typical salesman. No games, no BS, no "let me talk to my manager" 20 times. It was refreshing! Kasper went out of his way to help me, and ensured that I had a pleasant experience. I highly recommend asking for him! Eric Garvin in the finance department was excellent as well. Quick, painless, hassle-free. Was done in 5 minutes. Thanks to both of them! :^)

Ron Tonkin Mazda Finance Department appears to have a culture dishonesty and lack of accountability, . When a complaint is risen their goal is to talk in circles and not truly address or take ownership of their mistakes. Went in to purchase a new Mazda and left with a really good deal. 20 days later i get a call from Brandon the Finance Director stating that the loan did not go through due to a mistake and I needed to re-sign with a higher interest rate. I told him that it was not my fault that loan was not approved like they said it would and I did not want to pay more for the car. He then told me there was nothing he could do and I needed to take the new interest rate or return the car that day because "this is getting old". I told him I needed to think about it and I would call back. He was very condescending and rude on the phone. At this point in time I decided not to go through with loan when a Director cannot take responsibility for a mistake his department made and make an effort to make me the customer happy. I left him multiple messages so we could talk about next steps and how to get my down payment back with no call back. The next day Zach the Finance Manager calls me stating multiple attempts to reach me with no luck. I call Zach back and ask him if he has been in contact with his Director who I had been speaking with the day before ... which he has not. I convey my decision to not go through with loan and ask him how I will get my down-payment back he says come today return the car and we will "write you a check." I show up with car to meet with Zach he barley greets me and passes me off to another rep the same one that made the mistake to begin with. The rep then tries to give me an IOU for the down-payment which I was not happy about. The rep goes to get the Finance manager who tells me I misunderstood him when he said "write me a check" and it needs to be signed by owner and I will need to return later. Excuse me! If you tell me you're going to write a check most if not all people are going to understand they will leave with a check in hand. I expected them to make an effort and have check ready for me as they knew I was coming that day to return the car. When asked questions I barely had time to respond before I was cut off and interrupted. It seems like they ask to respond not to listen. When I expressed my frustration about being misled I was answered with scripting, blaming and no real interest in hearing the customer to learn from the experience. Alas I left with the IOU but the whole experience left a very sour taste in my mouth. I still have to received my check which I am sure will be like pulling teeth. I will NEVER return to any Ron Tonkin dealership to do business and wish you a better experience.

I had an excellent experience at this location - this was both my first experience with leasing a vehicle as well as my first experience with a new car. Mike Kasper was extremely thorough and helpful, did not rush, and took the time to ensure that I understood all of the features and controls of my Mazda3. Definitely the store to go to if you're in the market for a Mazda!

My husband and I are both SO excited to be the proud new owners of a 2016 Mazda CX-5, our dream car! First time for both of us purchasing a new car and Michael Kasper made us feel comfortable and genuinely taken care of. He was very patient and took time to really listen and helped us pick out what ended up being the perfect fit for us. When it came to financing (understandably the area I was most apprehensive about) he again listened patiently and continued to work with their finance specialist until we decided on a plan that everyone could be happy with. When I discovered a small inperfection in one of the leather seats Mike again went to bat for us to rectify the situation. Kudos to Mike & Ron Tonkin Mazda!
