As J.M. Darhower once wrote, "change doesn't happen overnight. There's no button that's pushed to magically alter everything. Change happens little by little. Day by day. Hour by hour."

By signing up to volunteer with one of the awesome organizations featured this week, you too can change the world little by little. Day by day. Hour by hour. What can we say other than...go get 'em tiger! http://eepurl.com/cgZWPv

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES WITH CSS AT Gwsa Guelph

Our volunteers are the heart of our programs and services, and without them, we simply could not do the work we do. We could really use some help with two of our programs. if you or someone you know has some time to spare and are looking for a great volunteer opportunity, please consider joining the GWSA Community Support Services team.

** Seniors Offering Support (SOS) - Telephone Visiting Volunteer
Volunteers with SOS visit on the phone with other seniors living in the community. Local calls are placed from home, and the commitment can be as little as once a month, or more frequent according to your availability. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide support to others who are more isolated in our community.

** Feeling Better Move Well - Group Exercise Volunteers
If you are interested in fitness and helping other seniors, please consider volunteering as a gentle exercise leader. Working in teams of two, our volunteers enjoy the opportunity to keep up with their own fitness goals, while helping others to keep moving. No fitness experience is required and training is provided.

If you would like more information about either of these opportunities, please contact Maryanne Wilford either at: mwilford.gwsa@gmail.com or call 519-837-5665.
