Chicken Sprite Recipe by Recipe ni Juan

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken
500ml-700ml Sprite
5 med sized onions, sliced
1 stalk lemongrass
1 calamansi or 1 tbsp lemon
4 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste
hot sauce (optional)

Procedure:

1) insert the lemongrass into the cavity of the chicken and rub the chicken with salt and calamansi
2) place the chicken in the deep pot and add the remaining ingredients.
3) cover and cook for 1 hour over medium fire.
4) after 30 minutes of cooking turn the chicken upside down so the color would be even.
5) serve with the sauce of the chicken.
