Members of the public in Leeds posed the questions in the last televised round of UK leader "debates," ahead of next week's general election. David Cameron, Ed Miliband and Nick Clegg all faced a tough crowd.

US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power, admonished the representatives from North Korea for their disruption to the panel discussion.
A UN conference on human rights gave the floor to both defectors of North Korea and envoys from the oppressive regime. But before testimony was complete, the Pyongyang diplomats stormed out over a dispute.

In a statement released on Friday, the Red Cross said it was "extremely concerned" about the welfare of hundreds of thousands of people in Nepal, after their six assessment teams found survivors there in a "desperate situation."
Almost a week since a 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Nepal, the Red Cross has said that some towns and villages near the epicenter "have suffered almost total devastation." Around 6,200 people are thought to have died.

People have been marching in solidarity with Baltimore throughout the United States.
There have been marches in a number of US cities and Baltimore to protest the death in police custody of 25-year-old black man Freddie Gray. Gray died April 19 of a fatal but unexplained spinal injury.

As well as a complete pipe bomb, police and prosecutors have said that they seized munitions, explosives, chemicals and firearms in a raid on a flat near Frankfurt. The arrests are thought to have foiled a terror attack.

Charges include second-degree murder, manslaughter, and assault, Marilyn Mosby said on Friday. The announcement comes on the heels of a $20 million body-camera program to advance "public safety" for local police.
