Site outside of Elorrio, Spain in the Basque country that has sarcophagi as early as the 7th century and pre-Christian carvings. It is the site of a double sarcophagus. Fascinating place!

Poulnabrone Dolmen, in the Burren, Ireland, probably the oldest tomb I've ever visited. They say it is probably between 4200 BC and 2900 BC.

The weird thing about great blue herons is that they don't seem to care that people live here. They have fish to catch and if those foolish Palm Beachers try to get in their way, it will not go well for the Palm Beachers. (That is the island of Palm Beach in the background.) Since they put mangrove islands back into Lake Worth Lagoon, we have seen many more bird species downtown. It is way cool!

Sitting on the dock of a bay... A juvenile night heron, possibly a yellow crowned. I'm no good at identifying juvenile birds.

They are pushy, noisy, bossy, smart, vicious murderers sometimes but I love them. Blue jays are common and yet so hard to ignore. Taken at Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray Beach, Florida.

Also in Marianna, Florida. Mothers love their sons the world over. The words "killed in battle" can crush a heart.
