First of all, thank you for filing a complaint against a company when you were unhappy with the service provided through our free complaint conciliation process. When BBB closes a complaint that the business hasn't responded to it has a negative impact on their rating. Businesses that are not BBB Accredited are under no obligation to respond to our complaints. But we still report they received a complaint and that they chose not to respond for a period of 3 years. So anyone who visits our website to view our file on company will be able to see their past complaint history.
If that business had been BBB Accredited, they are obligated to answer the complaint and make a good faith effort to resolve the complaint. If they didn't do so, they could be in breach of their contract with BBB and be at risk for revocation of their BBB Accreditation, something we've done numerous times this year. Thanks for the opportunity to address your concerns and I hope you see that you filing the complaint will show future customers the information they need about this company.
