The Half Price Books in Tukwila just had a big load of Rpg books come in. I thinned it out but still was lots of different dark sun 2nd edition boxes and books.

I've had better luck in Tacoma and Redmond. Though I got a physical copy of marvel heroic to go with my civil war book. Also took some west end game stuff.

Just read through Stormlord Publishing's Black Powder, Black Magic: Vol 1 great little adventure path done in a style of a fanzine.  The Alternate History/Secret History Wild West makes for an interesting supernatural setting.  Firearm rules are simple and straight forward. The occupations for the zero level funnel are good and bring lots of interesting backgrounds to the 0 Level funnel adventure.  Lately many of the RPG books I read go directly to the shelf this one will go into the pile of man I really want to get this to a table.  Thanks +Eric Hoffman and +Carl Bussler for a great read and why don't you have a Stormlord Publishing page?

My next RPG read is the Treasure Vaults of Zadabad which I picked up with Black Powder, Black Magic
A zine of six-guns and sorcery. This debut issue sets the stage and introduces your players to the Dark Territories.

I really enjoyed this article especially this part Be willing to accept that someone else doesn’t share your viewpoint. Respect that viewpoint if you can. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe people are accidental assholes. It happens.

excuse my language :)
A few weeks ago, the very talented erotica author Alison Tyler and I were chatting via Twitter about manners for creative business people on the internet. And then we got talking about creating a b...

I'll honestly say that is good post with lots of good points.   There are times where I accidentally am an asshole.   And then there are days where I am an occasional asshole.

The occasional bit happens when life factors flow against me and I allow that anger/frustration to bubble up and flow out.   It should never happen but it does.   I'm human.   If people hold it against me, so be it.

With Sword & Wizardry Appreciation Day just past I thought it was time to read the copy I picked up a couple years ago. I ended up with a first edition of the game from 2010 or at least that is how the front of the book reads.

The rules are clean and easy to follow. Reading it brought back memories of the hacked version of B/X and 1st edition we played.

These rules are much more streamlined then the hack together rules. Props for only one Save Vs. chart and giving the option of ascending or descending armor classes. I could see running some of the adventures I have picked up over the years using these rules.

You can pick up the PDF for free now.  A stretch goal on a kickstarter made this possible.  At 144 pages with a monster section and a spell section this book is really actually very streamlined for what it contains.
