Chicago bike riders saved approximately 50,600 gallons of gas in 2013 using the city's bike share program. This is what my brain works on after the kids go to bed. Credits:  +MapQuest +AccuWeather

You can absolutely teach yourself anything if you have access to Google and a little patience. I went from never touching the web framework Ruby on Rails to running an API-integrated app in two evenings after the kids went to bed.

Five days ago, my wife and I welcomed to the world our second son and named him Henry Gale. Henry has had a rough start and has been diagnosed with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), a condition resulting in brain damage as a result of oxygen deprivation during birth.

We're publishing news of his good days and bad days to share with friends and family. The more we all understand Henry's condition and how to help him, the better his chances at a happy, well-developed life.

In MKT376, we teach students to begin their emails with a "Motivation Sentence." Such a sentence should focus 100% on their reader and their reader's needs, not their own.

To help teach this valuable skill, I coded a JavaScript/CSS site hosted on Google Drive. Check it out!
