I live close by and play the course often. I'm writing this for those who haven't played here and have concerns after reading some reviews. First this course is old meaning the course design is from the 50's. Small greens and short 4 pars. The course takes you through the surrounding community via tunnels under roads. It's an interesting place with some of the narrowest fairways you will find. Some holes are rather easy and some can give you all you can handle due to the tight fairways. Yes the fairways are in rough shape but playable, the greens are always good, that's where they seem to spend their efforts. The sand traps are all over the map as to how much sand is in them but it's part of the charm and the low green fees. Club house looks like something from Mockingbird lane (a little humor for people who know what the munsters are) but the food is reasonably priced and really good. Everyone I bring here at first rolls their eyes but come to appreciate the feel of the course after they get into their round and always tell me they would play here again. Anyway hope this gets a few of you off the fence.

Shorecliffs is a very hard course because of the narrow fairways and lots of hazards, elevation changes and strong sea breezes, but where else can you play for around $30 with a cart and get beers for $3? Love it!

The food in the clubhouse was good, but the course was in rough shape. Some narrow fairways and steep elevation changes make the course interesting and fun if you can keep it in play.

It was fun for me and a friend to meet up and play. Probably won't play here again. Greens weren't great and the price was high for the quality.

I only paid $29 to play @ 9 am on a Sunday. If you ask me, it was $29 too much. The Pro Shop, rest rooms and dining room were worn out and dingy. But that would have been fine, but the course was in HORRIBLE shape, from tees to greens and everything in between. T boxes were poorly marked and the golf cart barely ran. I would never play there again, even if someone paid me to!

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great value and the course will challenge you on several holes and make you want to come back and play it again.

Scorecard suggests an easy course: short. What it doesn't show are the tight fairways and small greens or the OB & lateral hazards on EVERY hole. Course management is the key to scoring here. Very challenging!
