My mate and I had a pleasant time watching the football and having a meal/drink at The William Blake, which is several minutes walk from Old Street tube station; - It was clean, spacious and had the right amount of atmosphere without being overcrowded; - Food was tasty and relatively inexpensive; - Staff were friendly and attentive; and - Booked in advance and was given a table right next to the TV Well done - will return again!

They only serve certain beers on certain days. I can't even begin to understand the reasoning behind that.

Good service, nice food. Good booking service, you can come right when the game starts and expect your table to be ready

Came here for lunch with a group of friends. Quite spacious, plenty of seating spaces. Platters to share were of decent quality, size and price-wise. Extensive selection of drinks. The staff was polite and efficient. Overall this is a good British pub :)

The William Blake is actually my husband's favourite pub, but to be honest, I also like going there. It's a typical British pub, nicely located in the hearth of London. The food is awesome, especially the dishes included in the "Under 500 calories" section. The drinks selection is also quite extensive, so there's something for everyone. Highly recommend this place.

Grim grim grim. The whole place is sticky and smells of stale beer.
