Definitely NOT Chicago-style pizza. Even the supposed thin crust was way too bready, sparse cheese layer, bland/flavorless sausage and mediocre sauce. Hope my tastebuds don't deteriorate as most former Chicagoans' seem to have done out here. I've eaten at the "real" Salerno's in IL; this one's just a sad misrepresentation.

Went here for a birthday recently.... The food was amazing. The Calzone was phenominal...Music wasn't that great, but its okay. It was still fun. Great Service. Definitely would come back.

Great pizza! Very Chicago authentic. Wings are not very good. I hope they improve though, because the pizza was really something else. Lol at the guy who is upset about an expired coupon. Very classy thing to complain about.

The menu on the web site looked great. While traveling to fun in the sun from Alaska, we made reservations for 5 but 3 backed out. So my wife and I went by ourselves. First impression...Must not know the definition of ambiance. Can you say "Strip Mall". Then there were the 2$ chairs, vinyl table coverings, 12 foot ceiling with no effort to address the typical "office style" drop ceiling effect or lighting. The food was okay at best. But when they served it from a janitorial/mail cart I was surprised. Over experience was not what we expected from the looks of the menu and the reviews on line. But perhaps since the 3 people that backed out on dinner were local..... Maybe they knew something we didn't.

We've been going to Salerno's for lunch for years, sometimes two times a week. The lunch specials are a great value. Eat lunch there and you won't need to eat dinner. We've had the lasagna (great!), thin crust pizza (hooked on that right now), baked mostaccioli (best lunch special!) and many more items from their menu. They are all home made, all delicious and even better when you eat them with their homemade pink sauce. Once I tried their pink sauce, I couldn't eat the regular red sauce again. Its good sauce, but the pink is my favorite. Ross, Nicole, their Nana and Grandpa are always friendly. All the family and staff are. I have yet to find another Italian restaurant that serves better food than these guys and has the friendly service that makes you feel like you're with family. Hands down, best food and place to eat.

We tried this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. We won't return. Perhaps we would have been happier, had we ordered the pizza. However, my husband and I order chicken-pasta entrees. The food was mediocre.
