This place was fantastic. It was the best restaurant experience I've had in Fredericksburg. The hostess (turned out to be one of the owners) was extremely friendly the entire time as well as the rest of the wait staff. We ate at the sushi bar, although they also have hibachi grills. The sushi selection was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. The cuts of salmon were perfect, and the tamago was some of the best I've had in a long time. For dessert we had the fried green tea ice cream, which was amazing. The sushi chef was very professional and fast. We ordered quite a bit of sushi at various intervals and it was ready very quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We went to Fujiya House accidentally, but was it ever a wonderful accident. This place is outstanding! Food: Having lived on Okinawa, Japan for six years, finding good sushi in the US has been, at times, a struggle; we haven't found better sushi anywhere in the past ten years. The fish at Fujiya House was exemplary. Extremely fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared every bite was excellent. Sashimi and Sushi both were just perfect. We had absolutely no complaints, the presentation was beautiful but not distracting and the balance of fish, sauce, and rice was just right. The sushi was incredibly good and is highly recommended. Environment / Decor: From the outside the restaurant might not look like much, but inside it is incredibly clean. The decor is simple but classy and modern, and the lighting is very good. Music is audible but not distracting allowing quiet conversation to be comfortably held. The sushi bar is small but very cosy. Sushi Chef / Waitress: The sushi chef is fantastic. Beyond being skilled at his art, he knows just how much conversation to hold without being pushy or interrupting your meal, yet still being engaging and bringing personality and life to the food. As we were sitting at the sushi bar, the waitress was not a strong presence but she was very friendly and polite, not being overbearing but checking often enough. The entire staff was very friendly. Pricing / Value: The food, in our view, is an excellent value. The price for sushi is competitive with everything except for sushi buffets (a bit gross to have sushi sitting out at room temp anyhow). The sashimi plates, appetizer and meal, are really great values. All in all, this was an exceptional restaurant and a real gem. If you at all like sushi (the deppanyaki looked very good as well), give Fujiya House a try!

The best hibachi I've had in any state so far. The atmosphere is very nice, it's relaxing but very natural. This is a great family restaurant and not a chain. The service and food are excellent. If you are ever in town do yourself a favor and stop in, you won't regret it.

Best sushi in Fredericksburg and great customer service. Good variety in sushi rolls and the restaurant is nice and clean. We will return and recommend to friends.

Quite possibly the best filet and rice the wife and I have had at a Japanese steakhouse, and we've been to quite a few. The service is great, I always felt like as soon as I thought I needed something it was taken care of. I wasn't a fan of their house sauce, the "Yum Yum" sauce, but it seems like some people at our table simply couldn't get enough. It's probably a bit too pricey to make a habit of it, but for special occasions it can't be beat. Be sure to show them the 15% off coupon from the website on your smart phone so the big tip you'll want to leave won't hurt your wallet quite as bad.

We have eaten at Fujiya House about 8 times in the last 2 years and the experience is consistently good. Food is what you would expect for the price and we are always greeted with a smile and feel welcome. The chef we had on our last visit had a lot of new jokes to keep us laughing during the show. I have taken the family to Sakura which is down the street and although the cost is about the same I would say that the decor and service are better at Fujiya House. Great bang for the buck.
