The food is amazing and the staff are wonderful! The filet mignon melts in your mouth. YUM! Can't wait to go back! The front can be deceiving; it's in a small strip mall and looks like a total hole in the wall place. The first time we went, I thought we might be at the wrong Fujiya (yeah, there's only one, we were new to the area!). Once you walk inside, you'll totally forget you're in a strip mall.

I recently moved from Philadelphia it was hard for me to find a good hibachi restaurant. I grew up in one basically since my father was a sushi chef in a hibachi. Moving to Fredericksburg I had to find new restaurants that has not only great food but a great staff. Fujiya house's food is amazing, just the right amount of seasoning. The chefs put on a great show and the servers are very attentive. Even the owner comes out and talks to everyone. She is such a nice lady. This is definitely a place for a party, family outing, date night, or even just going for lunch. You always get nothing but the best!

This place was fantastic. It was the best restaurant experience I've had in Fredericksburg. The hostess (turned out to be one of the owners) was extremely friendly the entire time as well as the rest of the wait staff. We ate at the sushi bar, although they also have hibachi grills. The sushi selection was fantastic and the prices were very reasonable. The cuts of salmon were perfect, and the tamago was some of the best I've had in a long time. For dessert we had the fried green tea ice cream, which was amazing. The sushi chef was very professional and fast. We ordered quite a bit of sushi at various intervals and it was ready very quickly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Fujiya house is great food and service. You get a lot of food for your money. Its not even comparable to other Japanese Steak Houses. This one knocks them out the park. I cant believe their open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Their 7.99 lunch bento boxes comes with so much food I don't even know how they make any money off of it. Its okay, more food for me! Thank you Fujiya House for all the food !!!!

My husband had been going here for lunch and was raving about his food. So we went to have dinner. The hostess sat us at the Hibachi table even though we told her we were not ordering Hibachi. She said it was fine. So we sit at the table and the waitress is taking our order. Now she removes us from the table and sits us with our backs to everything since we were not ordering Hibachi. It was insulting. As if we were trying to get the free show that everyone knows by heart. We ordered our food, which I thought was "so-so" I prefer UMI. And we left and have never gone back. They should not humiliate customers that they sat in such a manor.

We went to Fujiya House accidentally, but was it ever a wonderful accident. This place is outstanding! Food: Having lived on Okinawa, Japan for six years, finding good sushi in the US has been, at times, a struggle; we haven't found better sushi anywhere in the past ten years. The fish at Fujiya House was exemplary. Extremely fresh, tasty, and perfectly prepared every bite was excellent. Sashimi and Sushi both were just perfect. We had absolutely no complaints, the presentation was beautiful but not distracting and the balance of fish, sauce, and rice was just right. The sushi was incredibly good and is highly recommended. Environment / Decor: From the outside the restaurant might not look like much, but inside it is incredibly clean. The decor is simple but classy and modern, and the lighting is very good. Music is audible but not distracting allowing quiet conversation to be comfortably held. The sushi bar is small but very cosy. Sushi Chef / Waitress: The sushi chef is fantastic. Beyond being skilled at his art, he knows just how much conversation to hold without being pushy or interrupting your meal, yet still being engaging and bringing personality and life to the food. As we were sitting at the sushi bar, the waitress was not a strong presence but she was very friendly and polite, not being overbearing but checking often enough. The entire staff was very friendly. Pricing / Value: The food, in our view, is an excellent value. The price for sushi is competitive with everything except for sushi buffets (a bit gross to have sushi sitting out at room temp anyhow). The sashimi plates, appetizer and meal, are really great values. All in all, this was an exceptional restaurant and a real gem. If you at all like sushi (the deppanyaki looked very good as well), give Fujiya House a try!
