I have been going to Max's in Burlingame for years and have eaten there dozens of times. I have several favorites on the menu such as the veggie wrap, and veggie omelet. Their desserts are terrific, too. Be sure to bring a friend though because the desserts are huge! The service is usually right on there. Abraham is one of my favorite servers during lunch. If you haven't been to Max's, go!

Simple, but nice American fare, v nice rib eye. Cocktails were great too, raspberry mule was really nice. Service friendly and excellent.

I dined here a couple of times. They do room service for the Holiday Inn Express next door, but you can't charge the bill to your room. You will have to pay with credit card or cash. Room service is quick and efficent and you can call from your room phone. If you try to dine in, be prepared that this place is usually busy during dinner hours. Great staff and good food.

An average place to eat. It is located conveniently within walking distance of a hotel.

Decent portion sizes.....and that's about the most positive thing I can say. The food isn't bad, just very mediocre and waaaaay overpriced. The waiter only checked in on us once and didn't remember to bring 2 of our 4 drinks until after we had to flag him down to get the bill. We did get lucky enough to have the live pianist there which was a nice plus. Sadly this place is like a seriously overpriced Denny's with nicer decor/interior atmosphere.

The matzo ball soup isn't good - in reality, it's chicken noodle soup with a matzo ball... and for $8 for cup the least they could do is throw in two balls! The French fries are awful. No redeeming qualities about them. On the back of the menu, it explains how the owner's dad was named Max and how he would have been proud of the restaurant. If Max would have been at this lunch, he would have taken his name off the building. Awful food.
