Is anyone aware of research studying the privacy attitudes of immigrant groups (within the US)?

Matt Cutts originally shared:

This is important: Google has been able to detect a large number of computers infected with a specific piece of malware. If you go to Google.com right now, check to see whether you get a "Your computer appears to be infected" warning at the top. If you see the message, you need to clean up the infection from your machine.

We're trying this as an experiment to alert and protect consumers that we believe have infected machines. Please share this widely.

Is it clear to users who might be controlling access to their posts, that if they comment on someone else's public post, then their comments are public? Can one tell the visibility of a comment stream before leaving a comment?

+Jeremy hunsinger It is certainly effective. The problem is that the effectiveness is often tied to a harm of some kind if it's not a managed situation like a classroom. The most effective case would be if people offended others they didn't think were included on a conversation, or if they find that public google results include comments they didn't know were public. I don't think it's a huge problem, just not ideal.

I trust those in my AoIR circle are mapping how their social networks grow on this new platform?

I'm not really enjoying G+... either it does not allow me to do anything I think of or the interface is google's least intuitive ever. Or both. Or I am just too tired (probably the latter, as we are at the end of an academic semester here)
