Salman Khan on the power of the Internet for learning

I met many amazing people at the Web 2.0 Summit. Few have had the same impact upon the world as Salman Khan, the founder of Khan Academy.

From what he told me during our interview, I get the feeling that he's just getting started. I hope you enjoy this conversation and his insights as much as I enjoyed meeting Khan and learning more about his story and future plans.

We've got a interview up with Bill Adair, founder and editor of PolitiFact. I really liked the behind-the-scenes look at an early sketch of how they wanted the site to work: http://nationalpress.org/blogs/newsbag/just-the-facts-an-interview-with-bill-adair-founder-and-editor-of-politifac/

After ONA11, I'm motivated to dive in and learn Django for a new project - any suggestions on good resources?

The Atlantic Tech+

Since people seemed to like the journalism process post from yesterday, I'm going to stay in that vein today.

Well, OK, I'm going to steal sorta from myself for this edition. Last night, I gave an extemporaneous talk about my thoughts on interesting tech tools. O'Reilly's +Alexander Howard (and new AT contributor) was in the audience (front row!) and wrote it up. I am 100% sure his summary is more useful and better than the talk was:

A couple key links from the talk.

Saw 'Another Earth' this weekend. Recommend it. Made me ponder which multiverse version of me has the least remarkable social media presence

After scrutiny from Poynter and others, ABC has decided to stop paying news subjects for interviews and information. Hurrah!

Great story by +Liz Gannes. Confirms one of my earlier suspicions: most of the real action on Google+ is happening below the radar, in private or limited circles. Tailored sharing/privacy FTW.
