The worst meal ever. What shows up on your plate is a slice of meat on a bed of joke they make it read like a really nice gourmet meal but nothing but lettuce and meat...we never laughed so advice go to a salad bar its cheaper.

The Island Merchant is a great place to have some great food and entertainment. The menu is seasonal so you can expect fresh and savory dishes that will keep your pallet wanting more. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of products they use. The chefs are always looking for feedback to help improve their overall appeal to the Cape Cod locals and tourists.

delicious inventive carribean style dishes. the cape cod potato chip encrusted tuna is fantastic. come for the live music, or late night dollar sliders. owners are an inviting couple who do a great job welcoming vacationers and locals alike. one of the best restaurants in the often overpriced vacation town of hyannis.

The food was simply bad. Out of one appetizer and two entrees, most of the ingredients might as well have been (and probably were) canned, including the scant amount of crab actually included in the crab entree. The cod the in the fish tacos was actually quite good though. Everything else that came with the fish tacos was pretty dismal, especially the tortillas that tasted like paper. Service was fine, friendly. I wasn't there during any music; apparently they've got that going for them but I wouldn't know.

the island merchant looks like an average bar / restaurant on main st., hyannis but don't be fooled!! their menu is surprisingly polished and their food is excellent!! i would compare it to other fine dining establishments on-cape but it just happens to be situated in a bar-room atmosphere and hosts some lively local music! because of their size, reservations are recommended, but it's worth it!

popular restaurant on main street in hyannis offering wonderful food at moderate prices -- as well as music many evenings. food has an island flavor and is simply great! you may want to miss the music which can be deafening. this place rocks in the summer.
