Will definitely be back! I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and was actually glad when we couldn't get in to Peter Luger's. Thankfully the hostess was able to squeeze us in. It's tapas style which is exactly the way I like to eat. They mentioned that the menu changes frequently which keeps you on your toes! Loved everything that came out... the braised short rib sliders + fries, the tuna tartare on the eggplant tempura, the sauteed broccoli rabe + truffle toast + fried egg, the soft shell crab, and the scallops! Was too full to try the donuts so we'll be back for them!

I love eating here. It's off the beaten path a little bit, but if you work in/around DTLA, this is a great place for happy hour. Everything tastes so healthy and fresh, and the cocktails are really good. You get complimentary chips/salsa, but I highly recommend their guacamole to start.

One of the best modern mexican fares in LA. It's not your typical taco/burrito place but it somehow feels authentic and is delicious.

This Fusion Mexican restaurant is delicious. It is on the outskirts of the popular parts of downtown but the benefit of that is great parking. I love the tacos and enchiladas. The great part is after finishing a meal here I don't feel bloated or guilty about what I ate. And that is because the food taste very healthy.

Phenomenal! Brunch was perfect. The pinapple was shocking tasty, eggs in a basket was memorable as were reports from my brunchmates re: the bacon doughnuts.

I am Mexican so when trying Mexican food I have high expectations. This place did NOT disappoint. Don't be turned off by the area it is in....the restaurant itself is decorated nicely with dim lighting and spacious tables. Staff is always nice and food is authentic! Full of flavor. Try the Arrachera steak! Juicy, tender, perfectly grilled steak!

I walked in here one Wednesday afternoon for a work lunch. I was immediately attracted to the bright, airy space. Almost a hybrid warehouse-bar, but definitely not your typical Mexican restaurant decor. We were immediately seated and served chips with salsa - both of which tasted as though they were made in-house. So fresh and flavorful! We were hungry, so we ordered the ceviche to share. If you only have enough room to eat one item at Yxta, then it should be ceviche! It had the perfect level of acidity and didn't taste one bit fishy. Definitely up there on the best ceviche I've ever had. My machaca (shredded beef) tacos were definitely more disappointing. Although the meat was very tender, I found the taco to be pretty bland overall, which was upsetting. Luckily some lime and salsa spruced it right up - but I wouldn't order this again. Yxta is located in the Arts District of Downtown LA. Although it's a random spot, it is definitely a hidden gem to which I would love to return!

Always have a very good meals there, the service is exceptional and also the environment is tidy and very lovely. Their potato chips along with the salsa gravy are delicious and i really like the lobster. I definitely believe that this is actually the best new Mexico kind restaurant around here. stick to the truly great work and I will see you the next occasion I come in.
