Overall a great hotel. For the money, would come back again. Staff were very courteous if not always the most knowledgable. Pros: Room was great. Big, and more than comfortable enough, with no problems whatsoever. Location could not possibly be better. Central DC. Near bars. Near businesses. Near restaurants. Near everything. Staff get an A for effort, and an A for friendliness. Cons: The hotel is understaffed. The first 15 minutes of the experience were really not great, with significant difficulty pulling up/getting a valet, and only 2 people working a VERY crowded lobby. Once I was being helped, everything was more than fine, but the person managing staffing may need to reevaluate scheduling. The staff are very courteous, but not the most knowledgable. The concierge knew nothing about local dry cleaning options for my suit. While they did an excellent job researching and getting back to me, it strikes me as something that one would want the concierge to be more familiar with. They also made a good effort, but were unable to help much finding me a dinner reservation, which I eventually found on my own. Additionally, while it was of no consequence, it was quite funny to hear the person at wine hour serving "mer-lot". The TV I had couldn't be (easily - I couldn't figure it out) used with outside devices. 24 hour room service is only kind of/sort of 24 hours. Overall, for the money, great. Even not for the money - still somewhere to consider for your next stay. However, there is some room for improvement.

Everything else is ok with the exception that I expected my room to be made up by housekeeping upon returning from breakfast given that I had a late 3pm checkout. I asked for a late checkout because i want to stay in my room longer but Housekeeping informed me that because I only spent one night, nothing would be replenished including shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, all of which had ran out by the previous evening and no fresh towels. For a luxury hotel to say that my stay and comfort doesn't matter because I'm only staying one night is absolutely absurd. And also banging at my door at 2:30pm whilst a DND sign is at the door was completely unwarranted and all what was said to me was to remove the DND sign when I left the room and walked away, leaving me standing there in disbelief! Doesnt DND mean DO NOT DISTURB?! Don't think i'll be coming back here.

Stayed here to be close to my wedding location at the DC Spanish Steps. The location is great. The service is very good. The bagel shop across the street is fabulous. The late afternoon complimentary cocktail hour is superb. Cute water and treats for dogs. The room, though, while comfortable, was pretty small -- and we had others in our wedding party staying there in a huge room. Not only that, we brought hundreds of dollars of business into the hotel bar without even a thank you.

Absolutely phenomenal stay! Loved cry minute in this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with a kind and ready answer and quick responses to any inquiry. From I travelled through DC and NYC for three days, with three different hotels each night. Palomar (Kimpron) was my personal fave and the executive suite is bar none! Thanks for a great experience Hotel Palomar!!!! I will be back.

Not very clean. The TV didn't work. Not many amenities. Right when we arrived door lock wasn't working. Just not impressed.

Like most of the Palomar hotels, this one is sleek, swanky, and cool. I went to an event here and the party organizers rented out a number of rooms. All very impressive. Still, I wonder if behind the plastic and glass perhaps there is anything resembling authentic character; I never feel quite at home, more that I'm in a very carefully constructed space.

This was a pleasure! The room was incredible! It was a suite with a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and a dining area with microwave and frig. There were two flat screen TVs, one in the living area, and one in the bedroom. Every night was a complimentary wine and snack offered. There was a complimentary delicious breakfast with the best food imaginable in the dining room. I would give this a thumbs up. The staff and location were perfect. It's within walking distance of everything.
