I don't like writing negative reviews about small businesses since my family owns several small businesses in the area. I would rather support local business rather than put them down. However, last night my experience at this bar/restaurant was absolutely horrible. I have been to this restaurant before and had minor bad experiences, but this time was the worst. At the end of the night, when trying to close our tab the bartender asked for the name on the card. At that point she ran away from us and stood in the corner with another bartender looking frantic. Finally when we approached her she told us that she gave our card to a different customer and he had already left. She then began to tell us not to worry though because he is a trustworthy business man. At that point we were extremely disappointed in her lack of care and we expressed this, her response was "this happens all the time at bars". My family has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years...this has NEVER happened and if it did we know better than to make excuses to the customer. We heard everything from, "This happens all the time" to "well the guys name is Dennis and that sounds like Evan". Then when I asked the bartender how she would feel if this happened to her, she said "well I would understand and cancel my card" A few days from Christmas and this was her argument. No big deal just cancel your card. Word of advice to Franklins Tower, this doesn't happen at a reputable business and if it does they don't approach the matter full of excuses. In this economy you cant afford to have bad reviews and to lose business. Don't hold cards and open tabs if you don't have a waitstaff that can handle the responsibility of holding people's money. This happened because the blonde bartender was CARELESS and instead of making excuses she should have just owned up to that. To top it off they argued with us about comping our card for the few beers and chicken wings that we had. This shouldn't have even been in question since they have caused us the inconvenience of not having a debit card for the holidays to finish christmas shopping. The manager did end up getting our card back but at this point it was too late since we canceled the card so that someone couldn't use it to pay for the rest of their night.

They offered a bar menu and a dinner menu. I ordered the Babel Ruth Bubby Burger which was very good. Even better was the house salad with home made vinaigrette dressing. Delicious.

No idea what the other people are talking about. This place has great food for lunch and dinner. I took the love of my life here for our first date, and it was amazing. I've been coming here for years and will continue to.

Maybe the best, tenderest grilled pork chop I've ever had. My wife's salmon oscar was creative and delicious. Knowing we had tickets to a concert, the staff managed our schedule perfectly, not rushed, but not wasting our time

$25 for a lettuce salad with three shrimp. The shrimp were not fresh and the salad was simply chopped lettuce. The menu said $6, but the bill $25 because the shrimp were six dollars extra on the basic salad. The waitress even said it was confusing. Too bad she did not say something when it was ordered.
