Even Though for past couple of weeks, I have became lax in following what is happening at US Elections, this still caught my eye...
It is a little scary that Mitt Romney got his geography that wrong in the #debate. Maybe he was too busy looking for horses and bayonets?

Excellent!
"An anthropologist proposed a game to children in an African tribe. He put a basket full of fruit near a tree and told the children that whoever got there first won the sweet fruits.

When he told them to run, they all took each others hands and ran together, then sat together enjoying their treats.

When he asked them why they had run like that when one could have had all the fruits for himself, they said, 'UBUNTU, how can one of us be happy if all the other ones are sad?' ('UBUNTU' in the Xhosa culture means: 'I am because we are.)"

Medical World is one full of surprises. Just other day, there was this article I read about real-life Benjamin Button. And here today, another shocking news.

Without Brain? it is just.. I could very well argue what separates plants kingdom from Animal Kingdom. Both are sentient beings, with life-functions' with only difference being development of brain. It is this difference that have actually defined the food chain, the life processes, etc.

But I am going off-course...
Just saying this makes a very strong point in case for euthanasia.
I am pro-lifer, but in this world nothing is black and white. And euthanasia along with abortion are tow of the things where I beg to differ from pro-life.
This child was born without a brain.

He has only a brainstem, which controls the most vital of life functions (breathing, heartbeat, etc). In my opinion, at this point, life is not worth living anymore. There is no chance of recovery at all because there is nothing to recover. It never existed. I can't even imagine being a parent in that situation.

I know that many people don't believe in euthanasia, but prolonging his life at this point is cruel.

More than half of doctors in British survey support treatment denial for smokers and the obese
Oxford, UK

Sat Apr 28, 2012: +The Guardian reports that a majority of doctors support measures to deny treatment to smokers and the obese, according to a British survey.

Doctors.net.uk, a professional networking site, found that 593 (54%) of the 1,096 doctors who took part in the self-selecting survey answered yes when asked: "Should the [National Health Service] be allowed to refuse non-emergency treatments to patients unless they lose weight or stop smoking?"
