- 16 WAPT NewsMorning Anchor
Keegan Foxx is a native of South Mississippi. She is thrilled to continue her journalism career in her home state and in the Capital City. Early risers are greeted by Keegan every weekday beginning at 4:30 a.m. on 16 WAPT News.
She comes to Jackson from Tupelo where she was a morning anchor on the highest rated morning news show in northeast Mississippi. She was also the producer of the station's noon show and a fill-in producer for the morning show. Before that, Keegan was a reporter in Hattiesburg and also Columbus.
Her love for reporting took off in high school writing for the student newspaper and covering boys basketball for local weekly paper, The George County Times. After high school, Keegan attended The University of Mississippi. She graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Keegan loves Mississippi. She considers herself lucky to have lived in many areas of our great state including Oxford, Starkville (a Rebel in Bulldog territory), Hattiesburg and Gulfport. She is also thankful to have great friends and family from the Tennessee line to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
