Plenty of superb places to come and stay in #Poole
Points West retained 4* Gold this year...Visit England assessor comments - October 2013:
Points West is situated in a superb location within the centre of Poole and is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The balcony can be accessed from the lounge and both bedrooms with stunning views over Poole and the coastline for the guests to enjoy. The apartment is very spacious throughout with excellent carpeting, wooden and tiled floors. Modern bathrooms and kitchen have been installed with a wide range of Bosch appliances. Excellent new Viners cutlery for this year and good to see the wall has been wallpapered again where the damage had occurred. Excellent welcome and arrival procedure with the many items of local produce and the agency are close by if any problems do arise. High levels of cleanliness noted throughout. #VE #Visitpoole

New Information Telephone Service for Poole
A recent report showed that 73% of older people preferred to use a telephone number rather than go online to access relevant information. To identify this issue within Poole, a new telephone line has been set up to act as a local one stop shop for information and advice on a wide range of issues such as health, transport and care related issues for anyone living in Poole. The team of people answering the telephones will listen to what you need and will either be able to answer your queries or will be able to direct you to the easiest way to access that information. As well as any health and well-being query, you can also ask for information on other local topics such as social groups, pop in centres, lunch clubs, equipment and other resources available locally. The Telephone line is a partnership between Healthwatch Dorset, Help and Care and the Poole Well-being Collaborative.
If you need advice and information, at local call rate, telephone 0300 111 0102.
If you would like us to visit you with some leaflets, please contact the Poole Well-being Collaborative on mobile 078241377780 or email

The Business Directory for Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset encompasses the urban conurbation area of South East Dorset, the second largest in the South West. The Directory creates an opportunity for local firms to establish new markets and trading partners and source skills or components within an area.

The Poole Well-being Collaborative is a new initiative that is being funded by Poole Council but is overseen by the Directors of seven large local charities; Pramacare, Poole Council for Voluntary Service, Faithworks Wessex, Help and Care, Diverse Abilities Plus, Autism Wessex and Dorset Advocacy. This venture enables them to share their expertise and resources to benefit local people in areas that are identified as priority need for that area but which don’t necessarily fit the parameters of their own organisations.  The role of the Poole Well-being Collaborative is to support local people by giving access to information and services and to also identify gaps where people could benefit from new services or community development.
