If you want to change a law, do it through the congressional process. Don't hold the country hostage because you don't think you can win any other way.

IPCC WGI is being released at the end of the week. There will be a tremendous amount of misinformation surrounding the release. Understanding the context is key. Here is part one of a short movie released from the National Academy of Sciences entitled Climate Change: Lines of Evidence: What is Climate?

To round this off maybe, I would say we need well founded and well reasoned ideas. Fringe is too ambiguous and appeal to emotion arguments are too fad oriented for a solid platform. The CP needs to build on solid ground.

Just another $0.02 :)

Yes, there is resistance, but as I have heard 'resistance is futile'. Speed of change seems to be controlled by recognized needs and inertial lag forces. Awareness is key. Certainly being ahead of the curve, or even reasonably close to the leading edge, gives one an economic advantage.

Both people and politicians being more aware will lead to acceleration in the change curve, but the inertial lag factors are still a competitive force. As shown in gizmag innovation is occurring. The reality is that some are aware and this is where economic potential comes from.

I’m a generalist by nature and inclination. My views are systems based, which allows for a widely scoped field of consideration. Thus far, I have found that, general systems theory, system-dynamics, and Living Systems Theory concepts and constructs include some of the best guides to understand our selves, our world, and our universe from an analytic point of view.
