Over the past 18 months or so, I have attempted to share a glimpse into my ongoing battle with anxiety and depression.  Lately, I have been hesitant to write much about it, as I certainly do not want to sound like a broken re...

Lately, there have been a lot of news reports, and personal discussions about the kidnapping of the nearly 300 school-aged girls in Nigeria.  It is clearly a story that has captured the hearts and attention of the world.  As ...

It has been a while... here's a new one
BUSY... The Great Lie "I'm just so busy..."   "I am so busy that I don't have time to..." "I do not think my life will ever slow down..." Said one of those things in the past few days?  I know that I certainly have.  In fact,...

New Blog Post out there...
Like many of you, I was shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of Robin Williams in what seems to be an apparent suicide.  This makes me sad for many reasons, as the characters that he played have been a part of life for ...

New blog out there...
Each week, I take a morning to get away from the church office, and do some study/work off-site.  Not only does this help keep my mind on what I'm doing (less things to grab at my "work" attention), but it gets me out of the ...

Needed to have an alignment done on one of our cars. Checked with several places, and they either wanted to make an appointment for several days later, or wanted to charge $100 or more to do the alignment. I originally went to check out Speedy Align, but they were closed today for some reason. Found StopShop via yelp, and the location was close to where I was. Gave them a call, and found out that there would be no waiting if I came by. Shop is very clean and attractive. Waiting area is spotless, and equipped with a Keurig machine, large TV, comfortable couches, and free wifi. I was quickly greeted by the lady at the front desk, as well as one of the mechanics. Very impressed, so far. Here's the best part... They will actually do a full check of your alignment for FREE! Then, if you indeed need the service, they will discussing the pricing and details with you, including a diagram that shows exactly what adjustments need to be made, etc. Top it off with the best price I've found in town for a 4 wheel alignment ($65) and a 20 minute turnaround time... and I'm a fan! Go by and check this place out... they are some great people!

Amazing service, great food, and great atmosphere. This is a great neighborhood pizza joint, and our family loves it! Just a tip, sign up for their online coupons and get their customer card. I never have to pay full price for anything!

I've tried this place twice since moving to Austin. It's musical heritage and atmosphere are cool, but that's about it. I'd give the food a healthy "thumbs down," as it is just not anything special. Chicken fried steak...seriously...edible, not horrible, but certainly not "world famous" like the menu states. Santa Fe squash was a no-go in my opinion, but the spinich casserole was good! WORST part of the experience was the service. Our waitress acted like she had no desire to be there. The food took FOREVER to arrive (even though they were not busy), and once it arrived, we had to ask TWICE for some silverware to eat it! There were 9 of us in the party, and she brought us 6 sets of silverware... We actually had to get up and find the other three sets ourselves. After being there for 2 hours, we finally escaped.....doubt we'll be back any time soon. Too bad, as the atmosphere and live music is pretty cool.

Went to B & B to do a re-repair of some body damage we had repaired at the "recommended" shop by our insurance company. After finally getting the insurance company to agree to a different body shop for the re-repair, we found B & B. I cannot say enough how amazing this place is. Customer service is over the top good. Nice waiting area, super friendly and helpful staff. Good communication throughout the process, and they even arranged the rental vehicle for me. Our insurance company continued to balk at the repairs that were not completed by the first body shop, and B & B went to bat for us, and got the repairs that needed to be done covered. When I picked the car up, it looked like it just came from the showroom. It was spotless inside and out. Even the tires had been dressed. Would not go anywhere else in Austin. B & B is the best at customer service, and fixing cars. If you need a body shop, look no further...

Great food, somewhat dark atmosphere (hard to see your food), but usually no waiting to be seated. Menu selection is good, and pizza/pasta are good. The one glaring problem is that the food here is WAY overpriced. $12 for spaghetti and no salad? $15 for a Stromboli? Sorry, for that money I can eat at Olive Garden, which includes salad and bread. If you don't care about the expense, its a nice place. However, I'll probably go elsewhere next time.

It was a nice change from the average pizza places. Tasted a bit more fresh, not as greasy as most pizza chains. Nice people, good location...give it a try!
