Bad apples ruin some of the best things. :-(

I have great respect for the protesters who chanted "This is not helping" and the SPD who by all accounts handled themselves and the situation today extremely well.

Syria refugees tell of executions

"One woman told the BBC's Paul Wood on the outskirts of Homs that soldiers had slit the throat of her 12-year-old son on Friday - a day after rebel fighters withdrew from the Baba Amr district."

"...state TV reported [the district] had been 'sanitised' of 'armed terrorist groups'."

Central Business District, Seattle, Washington

Syrian troops advancing in Homs'

"[Syrian] security officials said the city's besieged district of Baba Amr would be 'cleaned' within the next few hours."

Wait, what? Words fail me.

Syria holds vote on constitution

"Turkey's Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu echoed this view at a news conference in Istanbul, asking: 'On one hand you say you are holding a referendum and on the other you are attacking with tank fire on civilian areas.'

'You still think the people will go to a referendum the next day in the same city?'"

Ulatraviolet ("black light") LEDs! I could have a lot of fun with these.

Unlike fluorescent-tube black lights, I'm assuming these would be far more interesting as they should emit no visible purple light, but just illuminate UV-responsive materials.

Montana (in Seattle) ( has...Moose Drool on tap. And Black Star in cans. I admit I was hoping for more.
