I sincerely appreciate the NICE things said about the game. The biggest complaint of course was the art assets. The total budget for the game was $647,000 and as far as ATLUS being the publisher, in an interview Chris Jones (Tex Murphy) said (I'm paraphrasing) "The benefit of having a publisher was that... well they gave a little bit of money... but mainly we got a play test team we wouldn't have normally been able to afford, and they have avenues into distribution we just didn't have." So it sounds like they didn't get a ton of money from the publisher. Honestly, as a long time, die-hard fan... given the budget etc, I think it looked awesome. Playing this game is like watching an indie film. You go in knowing it won't look as good as a blockbuster, you judge it for what it is. And in this case, the story, the music, the acting... all of it was a ton of fun and WAY worth the $20 price tag.
