One of the best restaurants in Detroit, if you're not an omnivore. Seva is a go-to spot for me - I eat here weekly and don't know what I'd do without it! Great service, delicious food, and good cocktails too. The sweet potato fries are the best!

"Laid-back" is a descriptive term that means "they move very slowly." Food was very very good. Vegan options were mostly soy/tempeh, so if you are a vegan and don't do soy your options are somewhat limited. They are eager to accommodate and there is local beer on tap which is great, but for the high price of the food it barely balances out. Don't get me wrong this place has healthy tasty food, period. I'd give it one more star if i didn't have to skip coming here every time I can't find a place to park within two blocks of it.

Awesome vegan restaurant. Didn't realize the restaurant existed until my friend started working there, even though I've been vegan for 3+ years and lived in dearborn for most of that time. Now I'm going there every time I visit detroit. As far as I know it's the only one in metro detroit except for asian restaurants (those don't really count imo).

I normally have an amazing experience here. Yesterday I went in to send get some work done and grab some food... At least three staff members passed me by as I waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign and they were on their cell phones. I didn't fret, I sat myself near the bar, thinking maybe they're new. I waited for ten mins for someone to notice that I sat down. Nothing. I asked the bartender if I could order through her. She replied no and proceeded to be very condescending in her response that a waitress works the floor and she only handles the bar. I replied, I understand, but no one offered to seat me or stop by so I was trying to solve the problem because I like this place and I'm hungry. She obnoxiously yelled for someone to come over. I don't know what happened to this place, but I don't have a good feeling about it. Maybe they need new management. But either way, it sucks, they have good food in a convenient place for those that live downtown. bummer!

An oasis for vegetarians in Detroit! It's a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. The bruschetta was the best I've ever had and the cilantro peanut stir fry was amazing! 👍

Says gluten free, but my GF friends get sick here constantly. I don't think some of the cooks are very careful about cross contamination. Tofu Pad Thai is fantastic though

It's so hard to find vegan food in Detroit - SEVA is like an oasis in the middle of a desert! Friends took me here for lunch during a recent visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The menu offers a variety of dishes, some of them meat-based and some of them vegetarian (with options to veganize). All 3 of our meals were delectable; I highly recommend the tempeh meatball sub! The atmosphere is really cool: exposed brick walls of the old building with beautiful wood beams on the ceiling - decorations feature artwork by local artists. The waiter was attentive and helpful. There was a great patio outside; it's too cold to be out there right now but I hope we can return and enjoy it in the summer. I would say the only "needs improvement" for this restaurant is the parking lot, which is down an extremely rutted gravel alleyway (not good for the car); it was flooded with the messy March melt when we got there.
