I normally have an amazing experience here. Yesterday I went in to send get some work done and grab some food... At least three staff members passed me by as I waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign and they were on their cell phones. I didn't fret, I sat myself near the bar, thinking maybe they're new. I waited for ten mins for someone to notice that I sat down. Nothing. I asked the bartender if I could order through her. She replied no and proceeded to be very condescending in her response that a waitress works the floor and she only handles the bar. I replied, I understand, but no one offered to seat me or stop by so I was trying to solve the problem because I like this place and I'm hungry. She obnoxiously yelled for someone to come over. I don't know what happened to this place, but I don't have a good feeling about it. Maybe they need new management. But either way, it sucks, they have good food in a convenient place for those that live downtown. bummer!

It's so hard to find vegan food in Detroit - SEVA is like an oasis in the middle of a desert! Friends took me here for lunch during a recent visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The menu offers a variety of dishes, some of them meat-based and some of them vegetarian (with options to veganize). All 3 of our meals were delectable; I highly recommend the tempeh meatball sub! The atmosphere is really cool: exposed brick walls of the old building with beautiful wood beams on the ceiling - decorations feature artwork by local artists. The waiter was attentive and helpful. There was a great patio outside; it's too cold to be out there right now but I hope we can return and enjoy it in the summer. I would say the only "needs improvement" for this restaurant is the parking lot, which is down an extremely rutted gravel alleyway (not good for the car); it was flooded with the messy March melt when we got there.

I really enjoy it here. It looks cool and feels clean...for the most part. The parking lot needs reconstructing immediately. With an outside option, dust blowing from the dirt road cars have to roll in on can be a slight turn off. It can be a bit pricey too, but the food is A-1 and worth it, with plenty of options and very pleasant service. Careful if you're a big eater though, the portions are a bit inconsistent. One entree almost demands a take out while another may barely satisfy you. The spinach enchiladas are a great choice!

The Cilantro-peanut Stir Fry was outstanding, and incredibly flavorful. The menu is healthy across the board as you might expect. The service was very friendly. They have a fairly extensive beer and cocktail menu, offering something for everyone. I would definitely recommend Seva, and hope to come back again!

I found the food to be delicious, and the service wonderful. If you're ever in Detroit, you must try this place-- even if you're not a vegetarian, or vegan, like me.

My girl got a burrito, the rice was way under cooked. The waitress took forever to check on us. She didn't want to reorder so I ate as she just watched me. It literally took the waitress 10 after dropping off our food. Horrible food. Horrible service
