Why are polyphenols in tea important?

In the past years researchers have become increasingly interested in a certain type of antioxidant, known as polyphenols, and the role that they play in the body. Antioxidants as a group help protect the cells in the body from free radical damage, thereby controlling the rate at which we age.

Research into antioxidants provides evidence regarding the lowering of risk of diseases that are associated with oxidative stress; neuro-degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s for example. Polyphenols are found in foods such as green tea, Rooibos, white tea, yellow tea fruits, vegetables, Moringa seed oil and extra virgin olive oil.

Polyphenols are widely considered to play an important role in maintaining health and well-being throughout the body. They help to lower inflammation, reduce insulin resistance and stabilise blood sugar and fat metabolism.

Once again due to their antioxidant activity, they also have a beneficial effect on bone metabolism and reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.

I have selected a few of our teas that you might be interested in: For deep sleep Great for joints A soothing pick-me-up

Yours in tea,

Polyphenols in Tea

In the past years researchers have become increasingly interested in a certain type of antioxidant, known as polyphenols, and the role that they play in the body. The main reason for this interest stems from the antioxidant properties of polyphenols, their great abundance in our diet, and their probable role, backed up by much research, in the prevention of various diseases associated with oxidative stress. http://www.himalayastea.com/shop/fruit-tea/page/2.html They are found in foods such as Green tea, Rooibos, White Tea, Yellow Tea fruits, vegetables, Moringa seed oil and extra virgin olive oil. Polyphenols are now widely considered to play an important role in maintaining health and well-being throughout the body, mainly as a result of their antioxidant activity. Antioxidants as a group help protect the cells in the body from free radical damage, thereby controlling the rate at which we age. http://www.himalayastea.com/shop/teas/moringa-oil-100ml.html Research attests to the fact that polyphenols may actually help to lower the risk of neuro-degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease, due to their role in combating oxidative stress. http://www.himalayastea.com/shop/rooibos-tea/raspberry-lemon-rooibos-tea-deep-sleep-tea.html Polyphenols have been found to play a role in lowering inflammation in the body, reducing insulin resistance and also stabilising blood sugar and fat metabolism. http://www.himalayastea.com/lapacho-and-orange.html Polyphenols, once again due to their antioxidant activity, have a beneficial effect on bone metabolism and reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis. http://www.himalayastea.com/shop/teas/aloe-vera-ginseng-green-tea.html

Drinking the tea every day will actually help prevent IBS bloating and gas in the first place, but if you're already suffering from these very common Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms fennel will help relieve them. Peppermint tea by Healther's Tummy teas – Mint is one of the oldest of herbs.

Fruit Tea
Tea of any kind is good for you whether it’s green, black or fruit flavoured. The only thing that is not healthy about tea is when people add sugar to it – pure sacrilege in my opinion! Fruit tea retains the characteristics of the fruit it is made from. In other words it is sweet, delicious and children especially can’t get enough of it.

Unlike sugared drinks and fruit juices it is made from natural, unprocessed fruit and that makes it a healthier choice for all. It is both refreshing and energy boosting so can act as the perfect pick me up during a long day at work. Aside from the taste benefits of enjoying fruit tea on a daily basis you get other benefits too. Fruit tea is not caffeine based unlike other tea and of course coffee. This means it can be drunk before bed without fear of insomnia. It is also extremely high in #vitamin C. #fruit #tea #sell tea #fruitalchol #green #accessories

WHITE- EARL- GREY- TEA

Posted on Feb 20, 2017 | Posted in |
Bergamot oranges, or bergamots, are yellowish pear-shaped citrus fruits of Citrus bergamia trees, which are almost exclusively grown in Reggio di Calabria coastal areas of southern Italy for aromatherapy and alternative medicine applications. I believe you all have tried Earl Grey before? Have you tried Earl Grey with NO CAFFEINE? Any WHITE Earl Grey? Any GREEN Earl Grey? Any FRUIT Earl Grey?

White- Earl- Grey- Tea
Earl Grey. Where to start, actually we can start WITH what earl grey is, the standard everyday Earl Grey is assumed to be A tea bag filled with a flavoured black tea WHICH IS DRUNK on the go. Well not to burst that bubble but why torture yourself with that when there IS a whole lot more to Earl Grey than we know. Earl Grey is A MIX OF tea leaves and bergamot oil blended together, meaning that almost any tea/ Herb/ Fruit/ Green/ White/ ...... that is flavoured with bergamot can be Earl Grey.
However, with this blog we are going INto the depth of our knowledge of Earl Grey and see which Earl Grey is ideal. Now I’m sure that you have heard of green tea before and how amazing it is for you and that you should drink it instead of black tea. Well that is true, green tea is much better for you however that doesn’t MEAN you shouldn’t drink black tea. Going back to the main point, it IS understandable why green tea is good for YOU but how about if I tell you that there are a few types of teas that are better than green. Well white tea does more wonders for you than green, keeping on the topic of Earl Grey we do have a White Earl Grey blend with goji berries!
My topest favourite tea is an EARL GREY WITH NO CAFFEINE! Intresing?
