It is definitely a popular joint, especially for Dynamo fans, so if you want any of their food to try at your pleasure please get there early.. their lack of stocking their popular items and letting them run out very early in the day led to losing one start. It's all outdoors, and you order beer and food at the 'front' area, and the kitchen calls your number when the food is ready. I had a duck hot dog with foie gras according to the menu. They were out of the infamous dr. pepper onions and the deviled eggs, but I had the coleslaw. The coleslaw was so-so, nothing exciting about it. The hot dog was definitely delicious, no doubt about that, but as far as it tasting like duck and foie gras? It definitely did not. $7 is a steep price for something that, honestly, just tasted like a hot dog to me. I also had to wait 55 minutes for them to prep my plate. I tried to order a pimento cheese snack plate after that, and it's literally just.. bread and cheese slapped onto a plate. They said 10-20 minutes. 45 minutes later, I had to leave, so I cancelled my order and got a refund. The cashiers were very nice, and they even gave me 2 free beers on my next visit which might be the only reason I end up going back. Cool joint to hang out in on a nice day, plenty of shady spots to sit, and the black pepper ketchup was very good as was the dill relish. Overall, it's alright, but not really a 'go out of my way to go to' sort of joint. I wouldn't mind going back if someone else initiated at all, provided I get there early enough to try the things I wanted to try.

Stands out as the best hotdogs I've had plus tons of beer selection, and the incredible toppings and flavors to compliment the foods are what make this dive stand out. Been here several times and I find myself craving it often but it's an hour drive if lucky, and totally worth it. So lax and hip, u wouldn't think it's a top notch foodies' paradise from the outside but the experience and the sensational food speak otherwise. Word to the wise, eat fast to avoid flies; it is outdoors!! Also try that dr pepper sauce with everything! Love the tenderness of the casing not to mention the exotic filling choices, especially loved their rabbit hotdog. Very Austin-ish and you'll be astonished too after checking this place out!

This place is awesome! I take all my out of town friends here so they can eat at a place thats delicious and get a real houston-y feel. Moon Tower hot dogs are the best I've ever had; every single one on the menu. Their condiments are all house made and soooo delicious. ESPECIALLY THE KETCHUP. There's always a great atmosphere here, and they owners always have fun events like crawfish boils or movie nights. All in all, for relatively cheap, delicious food with a great atmosphere, this is the place to go.

In a city rapidly collecting hot dog restaurants, this one stands apart. Big time. Hot dogs here are all game - choose from rabbit, duck, pheasant, etc. Then pile toppings as high as you can. They're all incredible. Say you don't like game? Come for the beer - this place have a tap wall to compete with Petrol, Mongoose and other "craft beer" bars in town. Prices are on par too... something like $5.00-7.00/cup. Bring your own pint glass or get a clear plastic (12oz) throw-away. Counter service only - pick up food at the back of the storage-container-made building. Matt at the counter was chill, friendly and made great food recommendations. After ordering, find a spot at one of the many outdoor tables under strung globe lights. This place is too cool - go now before too many people learn about it! Update: Although this place is great, I don't appreciate the 50$ preauthorization on my card in addition to my actual charge. Went last weekend and the charge is still pending. Shameful. Update: $5 Monday Mugs is a total redemption. Buy a mug and get it filled with any beer for $10. Return on Mondays with your mug and get it filled for $5. A mug of ANY beer for $5 - now that's a sweet deal.

A bit of backyard Austin ambience in the midst of gritty downtown Houston. Great steaks once a week. Hamburgers and hot dogs with creative topping options. Movies at sundown. An eclectic mix of patrons. Great beer selection (66 taps).

Used to love this place, but I went on a weekday hoping to have a nice pheasant hot dog, and I waited over an hour and a half and still never got my order. Would not recommend.
Response from the owner - in the last week
Really sorry to hear that David, would you consider giving us one more shot on the house? We would really appreciate the opportunity to make it up to you. My name is Evan and I'm one of the owners here at the moon tower, please feel free to give me a call on your way up and I'll make sure it's all taken care of for you. 833-969-1934.

Super chill place that serves up killer dogs from all types of meat. This open seating restaurant is a great place to come and chat and just hang out. The food is awesome and the service is friendly. Plus beer, that's all you need! Try the different game meats, you could be surprised!
