http://socialmediasun.com/3-new-social-networks/ Shortly after Facebook's IPO exposed the cracks in their facade, I started receiving requests and e-mails asking me to join some new social networks. I ignored them for a few days, until I realized that one of them was from Microsoft!

Microsoft's So.cl is almost like a replica of G+. There are so many similarities that it would be hard for Microsoft to deny the inspiration. One positive aspect of So.cl is that the environment there reminds you of G+ in the early days.

Izea's Staree isn't a social network in the traditional sense, but instead a content hub for you to post your multimedia to, and earn a profit from ad revenues. The website is fantastic, it just has an upscale feel to it. I haven't made a cent on it yet lol, but I still love posting there.

Lastly, Tagged.com was recently re-branded as a 'social discovery' network. I decided to give it a try, and it turns out that even though thee business use is limited to club promoters, it's kinda fun to use a network that is transitional between the digital and physical world again. The site is so much like Myspace it's scary, but it comes with all its charm while limiting its annoyance.
