Exceptional fish, wonderful variety and creative appetizers made our experience at Sanraku truly memorable. Vincent was behind the sushi bar and prepared every bite with perfection.

Bright friendly spot for comfort Japanese food and sushi. The staff is very efficient and attentive. Another good place to hit up before a show at the Marine's Memorial theater since the service is pretty quick.

Unless I'm in Taiwan, shopping center food is usually something I'm wary of, and/or just avoid entirely. My friend really felt like getting sushi though, and insisted that Sanraku was not as bad as I feared, so along we came. Not being particularly hungry, I just went with one of their dragon rolls, since I have a baseline comparison for that at some other places I really like. And, well, Sanraku definitely fell below that baseline. While filling, the roll was on the smaller side, and lacked a good mouthfeel; it was also a lacking in flavor, and on the lukewarm side, which just all added up to a disappointing experience, especially given the price. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side, but there are definitely accessible tables. To get in to the place, you either enter from the garden area, which is level, or from inside the Metreon, which requires that you head up a ramp to the right of the front entrance. Bathroom - Didn't check them out.

Sushi was fresh and delicious. Service was a little slow although it was a busy night. Definitely going back.

Sanraku has some great sushi combo plates for decent prices. They are a bit pricier than most Japanese restaurants, but the food is well worth it. The fish is fresh and the rolls are quite flavorful. One friend ordered teriyaki salmon, which was said to be a bit dry, but all the other dishes were very well prepared.

Some of the best sushi I have had in the city. I was the only one in our group that order udon soup and my meal came out nearly 40 mins after every one else who ordered sushi rolls and cooked food. I was annoyed that the waiter did not apologize or explain the delay but luckily when my order did finally come out it was so delicious I let it go as a minor oversight. I've been thinking about the taste rolls ever since and plan to go back again very soon.

My go-to in Nob Hill for sushi is usually Sushi Toni because it's up the block from me, but should I want to go somewhere nicer with a more lively ambiance, I head around the corner to Sanraku. I'm an ankimo snob, and I was just blown away by their ankimo. Best I've ever had. Great sashimi, rolls, and entrees as well.

I really enjoyed their sushi. It's very good and the menu is priced fairly for SF standards.
