Mark Lerner's "Linkedin Bible" to engage people in discussion groups:

1. Don’t promote yourself- even when it’s tempting.
2. Listen – spend time reading posts by others to see what works and what doesn’t.
3. Engage – commenting when you have relevant (and non-promotional) information is always a good way to get noticed.
4. Distribute valuable content – Share content that relates to group’s topic and adds to the conversation.
5. Ask questions in posts – Posts with questions get many more comments and position you as thought leader.
6. Read the rules and watch out for SWAM.

How can you “translate” your traffic to users?

1. Add an eye-catching banner inside the blog that leads to your website/ landing page.
2. Retargeting – lets you advertise to your blog readers after they left your blog (personal note: I think any blog that wants to see content ROI should use retargeting).
3. Brand awareness – when people read your blog and love it, this love will later translate to loving your brand and your product.
