We're delighted photographer Mike De Sisti brought some paczki back to the newsroom after shooting these photos and video at Canfora Bakery for packzi day, also known as Fat Tuesday outside of Milwaukee. (You still have time to get your own paczki.)

More than 140,000 puffy paczki (POONCH-key is plural) will roll out of south side Milwaukee bakeries to mark Fat Tuesday, the last day before Lent, when rich butter, lard and sugar traditionally are cleared out of homes for fasting.

When Packers receivers Jeff Janis and Jared Abbrederis posed for pictures, answered questions and signed autographs at Thorson Elementary last week, the Cedarburg school had gym teacher Patty Kestell to thank — for the visit and for the school's successful health kick.
Teacher Patty Kestell efforts to get students to eat better and move more helped Thorson Elementary in Cedarburg win a Super Bowl party through the Fuel Up to Play 60 National MVP School Contest.

What his critics say about a potential Trump presidency: "It's a scary thought, actually,"

What his supporters say: "Sometimes you've got to hurt people's feelings a little to get the job done."
There’s a fault line in the Republican presidential primary between voters who find Donald Trump’s ego and outrageousness exhilarating and those who find them disqualifying.

One of the catalysts for these proposals was the fatal shooting of Dontre Hamilton by a Milwaukee police officer. Some questioned the possible conflict of interest from state DOJ agents investigating the case.

Dear Journal Sentinel, I enjoy reading your online edition. However, you turn yourself into People magazine when, at the bottom of the feed in the section entitled "You might like", you allow things like Rant to post photos of half naked women washing their car. Do you really want to associate yourself with titles like "20 Pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio's Ex-Girlfriends and Flings That Will Shock You?" We all know that sex sells, but a legitimate news corporation would never trade profits for standards. I don't plan on paying for your online edition or your print edition until you decide what you stand for. Sincerely, Anna Vos

Absolutely awful newspaper, they have no objectivity. They are constantly supporting democrat policies/persons. And constantly assaulting republican policies/persons. Don't waste your money, go online to read about the news of Wisconsin/the world. go to todaystmj4 dot com or newstalk1130 dot com

Posting ATTACK ADS on your front page against a candidate who is running for Governor is a clear and decisive signal the the Journal Sentinel is no longer unbiased and FULLY on the hand of Scott Walker. Bah, how low can you sink.
