Tuesday's killings would bring the city's unofficial homicide total for the year to 82, further escalating an outbreak of deadly violence in the city this year that has far outpaced anything seen in recent years.

The High Five: PolitiFact Wisconsin's most-clicked items last month featured Scott Walker, including his "cheaper to keep them slogan" for the proposed Milwaukee Bucks arena, and claims he made about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. http://jsonl.in/PeDGw
Claims surrounding Gov. Scott Walker, a top GOP presidential contender, once again dominated the High Five for June, our list of most-clicked items from the previous month. The top-clicked item combined Walker with two other hot topics -- education and Act 10, the 2011 measure that curtailed collective bargaining for most public employees. While at a Florida appearance with other contenders for the Republican nomination, Walker said that -- since...

Yes, they were extraordinary in action but ordinary as men. They had the same foibles, personalities, and faults as people do today. They were all born equal with the same rights endowed by our Creator. What they did with the circumstances before them, that's what was extraordinary.

The fact that people today had to Google and see what these men were about is a testament to the failure of public education.

Dear Journal Sentinel, I enjoy reading your online edition. However, you turn yourself into People magazine when, at the bottom of the feed in the section entitled "You might like", you allow things like Rant to post photos of half naked women washing their car. Do you really want to associate yourself with titles like "20 Pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio's Ex-Girlfriends and Flings That Will Shock You?" We all know that sex sells, but a legitimate news corporation would never trade profits for standards. I don't plan on paying for your online edition or your print edition until you decide what you stand for. Sincerely, Anna Vos
