I was very disappointed with my resent experience with this Lounge, my first time here at Steel was amazing, food was great, and service was excellent. But tonight was a complete disappointment our party waiting 2 hours before being seated when the reservation was made a month in advance. Management had no solution for the situation and our entire party was crammed into a space made for 6. Because of this experience I will not be back my night was very unpleasant and extremely embarrassing. So disappointed I held this restaurant to a standard that clearly didn't meet my expectations.

The food is always delicious. The birthday treatment makes you feel like royalty. The staff is fabulous - especially Christina! If you've never been to Steel, you are missing out!

I was very skeptical when I was first told about this place. I'm not into buffet's so when I was told you can get all you can eat sushi I was a bit turned off but I went along with it. When I arrived I was in absolute shock, nothing like I had imagined!! The food here, especially the all you can eat sushi during happy hour, is AMAZING! I love their calamari and fried wontons! I go back every time I have the chance!

Great location in the heart of midtown - and free parking? My kinda place! The restaurant itself is beautiful and the service is top notch! The menu is extensive and includes both sushi and Japanese entrees. I had the miso soup and the summer roll - which came highly recommended by my server. They were both just ok… majorly lacking in flavor (especially the sushi roll, which i think was way over priced @ $16). What they lacked in flavor, they made up in beauty, more so the roll. which was BEAUTIFULLY plated. Not sure i'll be back again…the ambiance was wonderful but the food was just ok. My friend had the tuna tower - also beautiful - but she didn't rave about the taste… check it out though - it has high marks so maybe we just had the wrong menu items.

My initial experience was excellent at Steel, I enjoyed the service and food. Unfortunately my most recent experience was a total disaster! Not only was the service and food a disappointment but I was overcharged for an item. When I called back to inform them of the error, I was informed that a credit would be issued. As opposed of issuing a credit, the merchant charged my account again. I called back several times to inform them of the issues, however as of today it has yet to be resolved. The negligence of the management displays an attitude of complete disregard unless you dine in spending hundreds of dollars as was the case during my initial visit. Sincerely, Disregarded Patron

On both occasions having lunch at Steel, the two friends who ordered the Beef & Broccoli were served the dish...with no broccoli in it - the lunch visits about a month apart, different servers. As well, on the second visit, one of my fellow diners ordered a dish that was to be served with noodles; a conversation about what kind they were was had during the ordering process. The dish was served with no noodles. My Curry Coconut Chicken soup was barely warm. Though everything was delicious - the service and inattention to accuracy of the dishes' presentations keeps me from adding a 5th star. The servers and kitchen staff need some re-training. SERVICE MATTERS.

The interior of the restaurant is very classy and modern and I really enjoyed my food (would definitely recommend the Honey Teriyaki Salmon!). However, my boyfriend ordered the Sea Salt Chicken and really did not enjoy it - it was extremely spicy, even though in the description it did not say at all that it would be spicy. Also, the dinner prices are a little steep for what we got. But my biggest issue is that when we were first seated, we were charged for an appetizer without even realizing we had ordered it. At the start of our meal, the waiter asked if we wanted some edamame while we were waiting for our dinner - the way he phrased it made it seem as if it was the restaurant's equivalent for bread i.e. it would be free. Turns out that we had just "ordered" the edamame appetizer and so we were charged $6 for it. We were not appreciative of that at all!

I'm a sushi fanatic, so of course I had to check out Steel. I was given the opportunity to visit during a friend's birthday celebration. The restaurant handled our large group quickly, and managed to get all of our orders in and out in a reasonable amount of time. My sushi was good, and everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. They do offer more than just sushi, since everyone isn't a fanatic.
