The beautiful full harvest moon is coming up in Pisces, opposite the sun in Virgo.
A full moon is always in the opposite sign of the sign, that's what makes it shine fully. When we've integrated the opposite archetypes inside ourselves, we shine fully too. Full moons give us an opportunity to reflect on how we're doing.
The last 2000 years have been marked by a struggle between the Virgo and Pisces polarity, during the now-ending Age of Pisces.
As we move into the Aquarian Age, we can look back in history and see that the shadow of the selflessness of Pisces (as represented by the ideals of Christianity, for example) has included the oppression of its opposite, as represented by Virgo and its more subtle and mysterious anima-oriented power. Hence phenomena such as the burning of "witches" and requirement of virginity for sainthood.
The study of astrology and any worthwhile wisdom tradition is a study in balancing such opposites, transforming the shadows into light. Both within ourselves, and in the world around us.
As we watch Pisces and Virgo learn to play well together – what will the place of feminine energy be in our patriarchal organizations? - we benefit most by ensuring that they're at harmony within us too.
At PlanetDharma we'd like to support you in that. That's why we are gifting you the first module of our harmonious self-guided online course, Intro to AstroDharma, for you to try.

"You could say all your struggles come from being ‘too pressed in’, compression. Your work is to open the space, step back and examine the mind or heart that is upset. Compressed mind is the clouds, spaciousness is the clear sky mind. All we have to do is step back and ask ‘what is this, what is going on?’. By making this small effort day by day, we begin to heal."

We can consider Virgo one of the less-understood signs. The roots of the Greek word "virgin" mean "self-wed." Virgo energy has this yin-yang quality of being able to feel whole unto oneself.
When this aspect of Virgo energy remains unexplored or integrated, we can be picky and critical of others–one quality of unintegrated Virgo–because they hold up a mirror to us and we reject what we see.
A healthy Virgo makes relationships with other and with oneself healthier and more appreciative.
Our truly stupendous, self-guided online course, Intro to AstroDharma, is designed to support this journey. It's a wonderful one, helping us to harvest the bounty of Virgo's harvests.
To show our appreciation of you, and to support your integration, we're offering the first module for you to try out before embarking on the rest of the course.

"It's easier with others because you’re investigating. You’re supposed to be coming to the better understanding with others, and getting greater meaning.
Karma yoga is working with other awakening people, a dojo. When the conflicting views arise, they are put on the table to work with. I don’t have to sort them all out by myself - I have my Teacher, dharma trainer and sangha to help me transcend it in different ways.
If you can take an internal conflict and learn to work with that, it benefits every area of your life. We cannot emphasise enough how this process benefits all the other areas of your life. It is infinitely applicable to everything."

This week the sun's entered Virgo, the sign of healing and mind-body connection. When we're not feeling well in our body, we can look to our mind- and heart-states for clues as to why, and vice versa.
Interestingly Virgo is also the sign of looking after details: a good healer will have all their tools and ingredients nicely organized and labeled, even if only in his/her mind.
What we have in Virgo shows our relationship with healing, with mind-body connections, and with looking after details. Great healing can be had through balancing a budget, after all.
In the interest of supporting your healthy mind-body connection, we're gifting you the first module of our very healing online course, Intro to AstroDharma.

"Recognize that there is attachment. We see it and carry on. We see it and let go. Embrace everything. Recognize there is aversion. With practice we see that when we are not attached it turns out better. Non-attachment is trust."
