The following sections of this report describe the health benefits of GHBurn and the ingredients that were specifically chosen for the formula.

Increased Energy levels, Mental Alertness, and Lean Muscle Mass

According to clinical research, amino acids such as L-arginine, glutamine, lysine, and L-ornithine, all of which are contained in GHBurn, improve energy metabolism, mental alertness (e.g., improved memory), and increase lean muscle mass. More specifically, the body metabolizes essential amino acids such as glutamine and L-arginine and uses them to produce energy during physical activity (e.g., exercise or strength training) as well as promote muscle growth and repair after exercise [1, 2]. Intense exercise causes microscopic- sized tears in muscle tissue and amino acids stimulate the protein synthesis that leads to the repair of the tears. New muscle tissue grows as the tears heal and this increases the size of muscle fibers, which in turn leads to an increase in lean muscle mass.

L-arginine, in particular, helps the body properly utilize a key element in the synthesis of muscle protein, called nitrogen. Furthermore, L-arginine is a precursor to creatine, which is a molecule that helps supply energy to various parts of the body, including the muscles. Moreover, this amino acid plays a role in the secretion of two muscle-building hormones. More specifically, it stimulates the release of the human growth hormone (HGH) from the anterior pituitary gland and the release of insulin from the pancreas [3], thereby promoting an increase in lean muscle mass.

Glutamine is also a non-toxic nitrogen transporter that enhances muscle protein synthesis and promotes the proper acid-base balance in the kidneys, which helps reduce the accumulation of lactic acid in the muscles during intense exercise. Lactic acid levels increase in response to extreme physical exertion in order to prevent the occurrence of serious injuries by slowing down muscle activity. As lactic acid accumulates, it also splits into lactate and hydrogen ions, the latter of which increases the acidity of muscle tissue and causes the painful burning sensations that usually cause an individual to stop exercising [4]. This process helps ensure that the body will be given the right amount of time to recover from strenuous activity.

Glutamine can also cross the blood-brain barrier, where it plays an essential role in proper brain function and can serve as a source of energy for the brain when glucose availability is low. The dietary supplementation of glutamine has even demonstrated the ability to reverse memory problems that developed in response to certain substances, which inhibit the brain’s ability to maintain healthy levels of glutamate [5].

As a result, supplementation with L-arginine and glutamine promotes energy metabolism, brain health, and mental alertness; all of which are important for the coordination of movements during exercise. They enhance muscle fiber repair and the protein synthesis that leads to the increase of lean muscle mass, and these amino acids help normalize the acidity of the blood, which reduces lactic acid-induced pain and fatigue during or after exercise. Furthermore, when L-arginine and glutamine are combined with zinc oxide, another main ingredient in GH Burn, the secretion of muscle building hormones such as HGH dramatically increases [6-8].

Clinical research has also shown that the combination of lysine and L-arginine increases the secretion of HGH from the pituitary gland [9, 10]. When these amino acids are taken by themselves they are ineffective, but when they are taken together they have a significant effect on the release of high HGH levels into the body. One of the first studies which demonstrated the ability of oral supplementation with lysine and L-arginine to boost growth hormone release involved administering doses that were almost similar to that which is contained in GHBurn to a group of healthy adult participants. The results showed that combining these two amino acids stimulated the release of somatotropin and insulin, both of which are hormones that are associated with energy metabolism and enhanced gains in lean muscle mass [9]. An increase in the secretion of these growth hormones was not observed when either one was administered alone, even at high doses, indicating the necessity of combining these two amino acids in order to induce the desired effect.

Additional research regarding amino acids that specifically boost HGH after engaging in a physical activity has shown that L-ornithine dramatically boosts the secretion of HGH production after strength training even in individuals who do not engage in regular exercise [11]. Overall, there is an ample amount of clinical research which indicates that the combination of amino acids that were chosen for GH Burn help optimize the hormonal and chemical balance the body needs for energy metabolism, mental alertness, and muscle protein synthesis.

Accelerated Metabolism, Increased Fat Burning, and Decreased Appetite

Another powerful ingredient in GHBurn is cayenne powder. This powder contains a substance called capsaicin, which is associated with an accelerated metabolism, an increase in the breakdown of fat, and a reduced appetite [12]. Consuming capsaicin has the ability to accelerate metabolism, also referred to as the body’s ability to use energy, by 15 to 20% [13]. The body typically uses fat that has been stored in various part of the body, such as the abdominal region and thighs, or calories that have been recently consumed from a meal, as a source of energy. One particular clinical study showed that adding cayenne powder to a meal that was eaten for lunch caused some participants to consume about 60 fewer calories during dinner and burn an extra 10 calories after meals [14].

Capsaicin binds to heat receptors on the tongue that transport it into the blood, which leads to its subsequent transportation into the adrenal gland where it can stimulate the release of fat burning hormones such as catecholamines [15]. Fat burning proteins promote an increase in metabolism, which initiates the release of stored fat that can be used as a fuel source. Since fat is mostly stored in the abdominal region, higher amounts of fat are released from the abdomen than other parts of the body and this often results in the loss of abdominal fat. The binding of capsaicin to specific heat receptors also elicits an effect on the nervous system that results in increased thermogenesis (heat production), which further accelerates metabolism, causing the body to burn calories and stored fat even faster [16]. Furthermore, this capsaicin-induced process increases feelings of satiety and helps individuals abstain from consuming unnecessary amounts of food during the period in which thermogenesis increases [17].

The consumption of capsaicin is also associated with the suppression of the appetite stimulating hormone called ghrelin as well as decreased cravings for fatty foods, salty or sweet foods, hot foods, and the general desire to eat [14, 18-20]. This means that capsaicin also has the ability to reduce fat, protein, and carbohydrate intake and the body’s need to use energy during subsequent meals [17, 20]. As a result, the regular consumption of the capsaicin that is contained in cayenne powder is associated with a reduction in appetite and unwanted cravings that are caused by increased hunger sensations, as well as eating smaller meals and feeling full or satisfied for longer periods of time.

In addition to improving metabolism and curbing the appetite, taking cayenne powder can improve cholesterol profiles due to capsaicin’s ability to reduce cravings for fatty foods and enhance the breakdown of stored fat [14]. The storage of excessive fat often contributes to high cholesterol levels. The regular consumption of capsaicin is also associated with lowered blood pressure due to its ability to bind to special receptors in blood vessels that stimulate the production of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide causes blood vessels to dilate and this allows blood to flow easily through the vessels without causing the heart to have to pump harder than necessary in order to circulate blood throughout the body [21]. It also helps protect blood vessels from damage and inflammation by blocking the production of proteins that are linked to inflammation, which helps maintain healthy blood pressure levels as well [22]. In addition to protecting blood vessels by promoting the suppression of proteins associated with inflammation, capsaicin has also been shown to aid in the regeneration of damaged organs such as the liver, kidney, heart, and the lungs through similar processes. Capsaicin binds to specific heat receptors in various parts of the body that play a role in the regulation of inflammatory proteins and in doing so enhances the recovery process for organs that suffered from damage due to inflammation [23].

Additional Health Benefits

Zinc oxide is an additional potent ingredient in GHBurn that has demonstrated several health benefits through clinical research. One of its most important benefits is its effects on bone density and bone disorders such as osteoporosis. Zinc oxide stimulates bone formation by activating enzymes, which regulate protein synthesis that promotes bone growth [24]. Accordingly, hindered bone growth is associated with a dietary deficiency of zinc oxide [25]. It has also been shown to play a role in the regulation of genes that initiate the growth of cells that develop into bones. Due to these properties, supplementation with zinc oxide has a restorative effect on bone density loss as well as a therapeutic effect on bone density-related diseases such as osteoporosis [24]. Therefore, zinc oxide is an optimal mineral for bone health that can help reverse or reduce the effects of bone diseases.

A zinc oxide deficiency is also associated with impaired immune system function, mental lethargy, delayed sexual maturation, impotence, and hormonal problems in males such as low levels of testosterone [26-30]. Adequate levels of zinc oxide must be present in order for the body to produce and activate various cells, including T-lymphocytes, that contribute to the immune system’s defense mechanisms [26, 31, 32], and individuals who suffer from ailments due to impaired immune function often improve when they begin zinc oxide supplementation [31]. Replenishing the body’s supply of zinc oxide also has the capacity to maximize the production of testosterone in males as well as improve sexual drive and stamina. Furthermore, zinc oxide supports healthy skin texture and decreases the appearance of wrinkles by improving the skin’s ability to recover from different types of damage [31]. Therefore, the zinc oxide component of GH Burn is an essential mineral the supports numerous processes in the body.

Why should GH Burn be taken at night?

The recommended dosage for GHBurn is three tablets before bed. Taking certain amino acids and minerals stimulates the production of fat burning hormones such as somatotropin (STH), which is also a growth hormone. This hormone, which breaks down fat and enhances protein synthesis, is produced during sleep [33]. Hormone therapy is expensive and often involves receiving injections under a doctor’s supervision. However, clinical research has shown that arginine, glutamine and zinc oxide can boost the natural secretion of this hormone [6-8]. In addition to enhancing protein synthesis and the breakdown of fat, growth hormone (GH) levels peak during the night when individuals sleep at least 7 to 9 hours [34, 35], and this results in an increase in lean muscle mass.

They are times when an individual’s daily diet does not supply an amount of amino acids that would effectively promote protein synthesis and energy metabolism for the brain during the night. In other words, an inadequate supply of amino acids may cause the body to remove amino acids from muscle protein and subsequently convert them into glucose that the brain needs for energy. This leads to the breakdown of muscle fibers. However, taking GH Burn before going to bed ensures that the body will have an ample supply of the amino acids that are essential for enhanced growth hormone production, protein synthesis, and lean muscle mass during the night. Therefore, the combination of these ingredients prevents muscle breakdown and boosts muscle growth during sleep, making GHBurn especially effective when taken before going to bed.

Furthermore, a deficiency of 5-Hydroxy Tryptophan (5-HTP), a key ingredient in GHBurn contributes to restlessness, sleep problems, and insomnia [36, 37]. This amino acid boosts the release of serotonin in the brain and serotonin regulates several processes such as mood, appetite, and sleep. The body converts tryptophan that is contained in food (e.g., chicken) into 5-HTP, but the amount that is produced is typically not high enough to ensure a good night’s sleep or to improve sleep-related problems. Therefore, 5-HTP supplementation is often necessary and amounts of 5-HTP that are similar to that which is contained in GH Burn have been shown through clinical research to help restore restful sleep and sleep rhythms as well as alleviate insomnia by causing individuals to quickly fall into a deep sleep [36, 37].

Overall, the combination of ingredients in GH Burn has been clinically proven to enhance essential processes in the body that support brain and organ health, accelerated metabolism and fat burning, increased lean muscle mass, and a healthy appetite. It has also been formulated in a manner that boosts these beneficial effects while an individual sleeps. The highest concentration of fat burning, appetite curbing, and muscle building hormones occurs at night and the amino acids and minerals that were selected based on clinical research, effectively boost the secretions of these vital hormones. In addition, taking GH Burn as directed, can lead to improved cholesterol profiles, blood pressure readings, and sleep rhythms, enhanced male libido and stamina, and even strengthens the immune system and brittle bones.
