Something very disturbing happened today.  The Anazktek did a Ghost dance today and did not seem to see or acknowledge me.  It was as if I were the corpse.  Quite obviously, I am very much alive or I would not be communicating this, but I find it unnerving to be mourned while I’m still alive.

I put out an academic call and this came anonymously. I have no idea why whoever sent it wouldn't attach their name to it.  This is more Stein's territory than mine, but apparently it has to do with a mythical mountain and the Shōnin stone.  For what its worth, the first thing that came to mind was my journey to the Valley of the Dead in that this is quite obviously about some place that allegedly doesn't exist.

May Indra, whose hands Thunder wield,
Be in the East thy guard and shield;
May Yama's care the South befriend,
And Varun's arm the West defend;
And let Kuvera, the Lord of gold,
The North with firm protection hold!

Had a stunning dream.

Time flies past me.
A roaring dust-storm.

Infinity and void.
Chase each other
locked in perfect balance.

I am the center.
Their roar encircles me.
I bear witness to their harmonious dance.

A rare experience. It has only happened to me once before.

I awoke from a bewildering dream. Like so many of my dreams, it hung just outside of reach, intangible like the morning mist. I lay on the ground in the village and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.

I looked around, expecting to see my Anazktec friends nearby, but everyone was gone.

Why had they left me? It was unclear. Then, I heard something strange.

What was that sound? It seemed to come from beyond a nearby cliff.

I rose and walked towards it.

As I reached the edge, I saw two faces hanging before me. They were singing. The music was not harmonious, but it was... for lack of a better word or concept, complete.

As they sang, their mouths opened wider and wider. Within the throat of the first face I could see a typhoon of... shapes... colors... textures. They swirled together like the patterns on a canvas painting or a forest floor.

Within the throat of the second was a cloud of millions of tiny points of light and darkness. It shimmered like the scales of a school of fish... mathematically perfect, infinitely complex.

The symphony grew louder and overcame me.

I awoke once more. It had been a dream within a dream.

Following the New Orleans Anomaly, there were reports that another signal emerged from the #Helios  Beacons... albeit greatly deteriorated, likely due to the Enlightened victory at that site. I have not yet been able to see this degraded signal, I hope I will be able to soon.

Work continues to decrypt THE BEACONS - Signal 01 and Signal 02 - Raw Data Capture.

Thus far, the consensus is that the #Darsana Signals may combine to reveal information about our place in time and space to the N'zeer. A map, a story, perhaps some combination of those tokens.

I do not know what the N'zeer are. I asked an Anazktec elder if she knew the word or the idea.

She studied me cautiously, then tapped her eye with her finger and pointed at me, then turned away, signaling the end of our conversation. I'm not sure what to make of the exchange.

I have reason to believe that there is a drop in Paita.  I would suspect that as 18 have been found, it might indicate that 36 Breadcrumbs have been activated.  But that is simply my math.  Keep hunting. These are of immense value.

Hank's Breadcrumbs

To +Stein Lightman's question, yesterday. Here is my best guess. The arrival of Dragon, Sea Monster and, in the case of the Anaztek, winged serpent images always symbolizes the 'invader from beyond' in my experience.  The proliferation of these, first in the Krakow Document, Hank's Visions and the Serpent imagery in the Valley of the Dead suggests to me a coming intrusion.  When I combine Hank's 'beacon' imagery, I would say that the monsters are being invited... Stein would know better, but this feels like Prophesy of the Waking Dream -- meaning a lot of people start seeing the same thing.

I had an odd incident with the Anaztek the other day. I'd returned from civilization and had my car keys on me. While they are often fascinated with things that come from the outer world, my car and apartment keys seemed to awaken a distant fear in them... I don't know why.  In the end, I had to let them destroy the keys.  This will of course require a locksmith when I return to civilization, but I wonder what fears my keys awakened. They simply didn't have vocabulary to express their concern.  They've never seen keys before.

+Martin Schubert +Stein Lightman Jarvis' 'revelations' along with the vague hints of Darsana lead me to conclude that what I saw in the Caves of the Dead was a force Humanity has not seen in some time. Something terrible. Dark and foreboding.  Not Shapers. The Anazktec say a time of great night is coming.   Such might be the result of Devra's work and the dominance of the Resistance in Helios.

The symbol is familiar. When I saw Lightman's Glyph, I felt the twang of deja-vu, but seeing it now, in this form, I remember vividly the first time I saw it.

I was young, perhaps 7 or 8. I had been playing with some friends, members of the Anazktec tribe. We were separated, and I fell down a steep cliff. I thought I had broken my foot, the pain was so severe. I yelled and cried for my friends but they were out of earshot. There was a rocky overhang nearby and I crawled beneath it. On that wall, smooth and time-worn, was this symbol. It appeared as if it had been chiseled in perhaps millennia ago. I thought it was a marker, perhaps for a long overgrown trail.

As the sun set, my father came looking for me, and I heard his calls. He carried me back to the village. My foot had not broken, it was only a sprain, and the tribe's healer applied a poultice that helped ease the pain.

I remember this all so vividly, because I returned a few weeks later to the same place. More carefully this time. I crawled beneath the overhang. There was nothing there. I was stunned.

It was as if the carving had never been there. The rock was jagged and rough.

To this day, I do not know. Was it a dream, or did some hand forcibly remove that symbol, tearing away the rock, and banishing it to a forgotten past?
