Looking forward to participating in this dialogue in a few minutes -- it will be (I'm a little ashamed to admit) my first time using Google Hangout!

Can nonprofits that use real performance data raise more money? Are donors increasingly interested in impact data? How can nonprofits communicate their program data to donors? And how should nonprofits respond to questionable performance claims by other organizations?

Join David Henderson from Idealistics and Nell Edgington from Social Velocity in a Google Hangout on Tuesday, April 30th at 2pm Eastern to discuss these and many more questions about how nonprofits can use real data to raise more money.

We’d love to have you participate in the discussion, so send your questions ahead of time to Nell or David by email, or leave a comment below.

This Google slide deck is fantastic...gives you a peek at the "New Multi-screen World" we're all living in.
Today I call your attention to a fantastic presentation by Google via SocialFish. It shows how consumers seamlessly shift among devices throughout the day - which is critical for those of us in nonprofit marketing and fundraising to understand. It is well worth your time and attention, so I’m including it in this post. Don’t have time to flip through the whole deck below? (You can also find it here). Then here are three critical take-aways for n...

Krugman's piece on the importance of young people's economic success is a good read -- whether you're a Millenial, Gen Y, Gen X or Boomer. Investing in my generation is an investment in the future.

Great post from +Nonprofit Organizations highlighting must-know facts about nonprofits and social media. My favorite? "55% of those who engage with nonprofits via social media have been inspired to
take further action."

So stoked to see how #GivingTuesday works this year -- on a personal note, am planning to swap at least one #BlackFriday purchase for a donation to a favorite cause...

Loved Michelle Obama's speech last night...truly powerful.

ICYMI: Mom-in-Chief Michelle Obama's headline speech of the night

"And if our parents and grandparents could toil and struggle for us, if they could raise beams of steel to the sky, send a man to the moon, and connect the world with the touch of a button, then surely we can keep on sacrificing and building for our own kids and grand-kids...Because in the end, more than anything else, that is the story of this country - the story of unwavering hope grounded in unyielding struggle" -- Michelle Obama

Did you guys watch? What was most memorable for you?
