2015-PB-02 - "Insurance Regulation in the Dodd-Frank Era" by Hester Peirce was published by NFI earlier this week.
Hester is a Senior Research Fellow at George Mason University's Mercatus Center.
Peirce proposes that in the nearly five years that have passed since Dodd-Frank became law, the future of state regulation of insurance is not looking as secure as it did at the law’s inception. She explores a different approach: reforming insurance regulation embracing an idea that was suggested before the crisis — single state regulation of insurers.
