Have finally gotten around to really looking through my holiday photos to see what i was able to achieve. i certainly busted some funk - have well over 1500 photos to look through, and a lot of them i really really like.
Key to success for me - try different settings with no real preconceived ideas as to how a particular function "should " be used.
Will post my fav's as I work through them along with anything useful re location & what i was trying to achieve, but of the quick glance i've had through - this one is my favorite so far.
Shot in the Umperston Sinkhole in Mt Gambier @ 10.15pm.
When i took the shot - didnt think anything of it - was just playing with the camera remote & the tripod. This place is strategically lit, but otherwise pretty dark, so am very happy with the results. 8 sec exposure, gave me what almost looks like a 3D effect. Running in full manual mode - camera complained bitterly about low light, but the result was awesome.
only negative - the trees are just that little bit blurry due to a gentle breeze.
